A septuplet of subjects form the core of Seven Arts Center's curricula: the visual arts, literature, theater, multimedia, health, martial arts, and cooking. Through their daily classroom programs and radio station, Seven Arts Radio, the center’s teachers help adults and children across Atlanta develop into the kind of renaissance people rarely seen since Pablo Picasso made his action-movie debut. Painting classes can take the form of structured multisession courses for aspiring artists, or casual one-time events for those simply looking for a new hobby. Other classes give students tips on using computers, playing music, or passing the GED.
IndoCycle Studio is a spinning-only facility where members come for vigorous indoor group cycling workouts. Stationary Spinner NXT bikes are the focal point of each calorie-blasting workout—experienced instructors lead classes in high-energy cycling circuits, incorporating music, visual effects, and subliminal sounds of stampeding herds to help riders through intense sessions. Each workout is customizable to every individual’s fitness level, but the end result is the same for everyone; burn fat and build muscle during rides that simulate climbing hills and racing courses. IndoCycle Studio provides towels, water, and shoes for gym-goers, as well as gel seats for those who want extra cushioning.
At A Healing Paradigm, wellness-focused practitioners collaborate to help their clients achieve optimal health, inside and out. Counseling sessions aim to lift inner spirits, and yoga classes burn calories and sculpt muscles. The center's walking group leads travelers along a nature trail featuring colorful foliage and the occasional lost yeti.
The seasoned paint-slingers at The Blu' Bisque turn the art of pottery and canvas embellishment into a lively celebration with their kids' birthday parties, BYOB date nights for adults, and corporate events that emphasize carefree fun, uninhibited creativity, and paint-speckled aprons. The shop's hefty collection of bisque pieces anchors the floor with plates, coffee mugs, and figurines that wait patiently to be plucked and festooned with stencil designs, free-flowing brushstrokes, and floral motifs that symbolize the end of tax season. Not just an art studio, The Blu’ Bisque also houses a children’s consignment shop where parents can outfit their offspring in gently worn name-brand apparel.
Two Wheel Adventures owner Chris Carr's love of motorcycles has driven him to adventures including becoming the 2011 AHRMA Middleweight Superbike National Champion, careening into authordom with Street Riding Secrets, and bestowing his knowledge of motorcycle handling on budding enthusiasts with a series of introductory classes. Together with a team of moto-enthusiasts, he leads courses that run the gamut from two-hour introductions to motorcycling or scooter skills to two-day basic riding courses, motorcycle street-savvy sessions, and licensing courses. For certain courses, students can borrow one of the motorcycles from Two Wheel Adventures' stable of 250cc Kawasaki Ninjas, Honda Nighthawks, and Yamaha XTs, rather than scrounging up a borrowed bike or attaching a motor to a unicycle.
