  • Blue Jean Blues
This sophisticated yet casual restaurant and jazz club serves up an eclectic menu of tapas, gourmet pizzas, and sandwiches to the tunes of a rotating line-up of jazz and blues virtuosos. Amid the classic 1940's atmosphere of cozy seating, intimate tables, trenchcoated men mumbling about the Great Depression, and exposed brick walls lined with jazz memorabilia, create your own comestible set with the Blue Jean bruschetta trio ($10), starring provolone pesto, tomato vinaigrette, and mozzarella olive roasted pepper. Follow up with a gourmet thin-crust pizza, such as the classic margarita pizza ($15) or the Bianca Quattro formaggio ($15), smothered in alfredo, mozzarella, feta, ricotta, and gorgonzola. After you have used your Groupon for a savory dinner, saddle up to the throwback club's fully-stocked bar and prepare yourself for a night of dancing and ice sculpting.

  • BocaRaton.com
Some like theirs rare and some like theirs well-done. Some like theirs bare and others like them chock full of toppings from eggs to shredded pork. No matter your burger preference, the competitors at the third-annual Boca Burger Battle will surely suit your fancy as they vie for the Golden Burger trophy and the titles of Best Boca Burger and Best Alternative Burger. Nineteen burger makers from throughout southern Florida converge, grilling inventive and alternative burgers, all of which guests get to sample. Contenders include grill masters from Bite Gastrotruck, Morton's Steak House, and 4th Generation Organic Market, who will be judged by seasoned chefs, festival-goers, and their mothers. To wash down juicy bites, the folks from Cockspur Rum and Iceberg Vodka will mix rum punch and Electric lemonade, alongside a slew of craft beer and wine vendors serving their own boozy creations. And the tastings aren't just limited to burgers and drinks; vendors will also dish out fries, onion rings, salads, wings, and desserts. After the judges have declared the winners, the festival kicks into after-party mode with live music from rock fiends Classic Rock Therapy, previews of Star Motorcycle's sweet new bikes, and, of course, more drinks and eats. A portion of the day's proceeds will benefit the nonprofit organization People Reaching Out to Provide Education and Leadership, so you can leave feeling good about more than just your expanded palate.

  • The Bombay Room Yoga Studio
Thanks to the wide variety of classes that Bombay Room Yoga offers, students have a good chance of finding the one that speaks to them. The studio encourages visitors to attend virtually any class, regardless of their skill or fitness level, so that they can learn what sort of practice leaves them feeling centered and mentally and physically rejuvenated. The classes range in intensity and purpose: Vinyasa sequences harness controlled breathing and free-flowing transitions to provide a more dynamic session, and yin yoga embraces the opposite end of the spectrum by calling on deep, sustained stretches to liberate the joints and help students discover whether they're made of Laffy Taffy. Since every class is designed for newcomers as well as experienced students, the instructors take time to wander throughout the room and aid participants in their practice by correcting their posture and suggesting modified poses.

  • Master Chorale of South Florida
The silent church seems to lean in with anticipation as Dr. Karen Kennedy raises her arm into the air. With a graceful flick of her baton, the artistic director of Master Chorale of South Florida—an accomplished conductor and teacher—coaxes forth the opening strains of Bach’s Magnificat from the flock of singers and musicians in front of her, weaving their voices into a tapestry of crescendos and soaring notes. Since its creation in 2002, Master Chorale of South Florida has performed their awe-inspiring concerts in churches, cathedrals, and high schools across South Florida, delighting audiences with a diverse choral repertoire. Audiences can expect to hear many musical periods represented in each performance, from the baroque stylings of Handel to Debussy’s impressionistic melodies and Aaron Copland’s epic pieces that blend traditional American folk songs with traditional Bruce Springsteen hits.
