Facelogic's 50-minute signature facial (a $49 value) begins with a skin analysis that targets imperfections and determines the best spot to stash any pilfered bags of diamond dust. An exfoliation and steam will open the pores while a deep cleanser intimidates impurities out of them. Next, as you float weightlessly in a zero-gravity chair that brings back memories of floating inside a cosmonaut's womb, a rejuvenating mask (up to a $30 value) will flood your face in a layer of hydration—reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improving circulation, and evening out skin tone and complexion. While the face is getting all of the attention, Facelogic's pampering posse will incorporate a complimentary therapeutic massage (lightly covering the hands, arms, shoulders, neck, face, and scalp) into the treatment. Finally, sculpt frizzled face follicles with your choice of a brow wax (up to a $20 value) or lip wax (a $15 value).

When and how did you first develop a passion for your work?

My passion for lavender was the launching of Beyond Lavender. After years of battling food allergies and problematic skin conditions, I attended aesthetician school. In April of 2006, I received my aesthetician license from Ogle School in Arlington, Texas. My twelve years experience as a massage therapist has enhanced my skills as an aesthetician, and I specialize in Microdermabrasion and Diamond Peel, Rhonda Allison?s Corrective Facials, Seasonal Facials, Oxygen Infusion, and Skin Peels. My in-depth product knowledge of skin care ingredients and customization of home care regimens adds strength to my hands on facial experience.

Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?

Beyond Lavender was selected for the 2012 Best of Fort Worth Awards in the Skin Treatments category by the Fort Worth Award Program committee and voted best place for a facial in DFW by CBS Dallas/Fort Worth. Beyond Lavender has become a skin care leader in Fort Worth by building a solid reputation for providing quality service, paying attention to detail, and delivering unmatched client satisfaction. It is my goal to maintain a commitment to excellence, honesty and to serve my clients with passion and integrity by achieving real results.

Ruth Lowery has spent time studying ayurveda?an ancient Indian system of natural healing techniques?with Dr. Deepak Chopra and the late Dr. David Simon, co-founders of The Chopra Center. She has also studied with New York Times best-selling author Caroline Myss, a medical intuitive who taught Lowery ways to integrate and strengthen the connection between the body, mind, and spirit. After studying with these teachers, she decided to become a licensed massage therapist and aesthetician and open up her own practice.

The knowledge Lowery gleaned from these experts launched her practice faster than a jetpack powered by good vibes. Today, she draws on 20 years of experience in the wellness industry as she massages muscles and beautifies visages with products by ?minence Organic Skin Care and PCA Skin. She also travels to spas and resorts, where she trains aestheticians in the proper use of ?minence products.
