As they enter the training circle at Curves, female guests come face-to-face with the smiles of other women. And just as points on a circle share a common distance from the circle's center, workout participants share the experiences of those nearby by trading stations throughout the 30-minute training session. One minute is spent on a piece of strength-training equipment built for feminine frames and designed to work two opposing muscle groups with a single movement. Exercisers then move on to a recovery station, where they run, jog, or dance to maintain heart rates and keep platforms in place during momentary losses of gravity.
The trainers at Epic Results Fitness want their clients to see epic results, and they have the classes to back it up. They see strength in numbers, which is why they offer senior fitness, group fitness, boot camp, and functional cardio sessions for athletes of all skill levels. They also see the value in working out individually, so they offer personal training with custom workouts and nutrition plans for each client. During sessions, clients rotate through a variety of exercises that use equipment such as free weights, medicine balls, kettlebells, heavy bags and speed bags, and jump ropes.
The instructors at P31 Fitness aim to echo the sentiment of Proverbs 31, which speaks to the empowerment of women through hard work. To that end, they seemingly never run out of ways to make their students sweat. To combat the monotony of repetitive workouts, they rotate their boot-camp-style workouts, preventing boredom while staving off unproductive muscle memory. In addition to changing exercises, the team also arms ladies in their fight for personal wellness with daily health and nutrition tips, as well as cooldown time devoted to reflection on one's own spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical health.
Raven Aultman's personal fitness journey started at 253 pounds. Four years later and more than 100 pounds lighter, she's dedicated herself to helping others to reach their weight-loss goals with multifaceted boot camps and sound nutritional guidance. Knowing firsthand what it takes to sculpt a healthy body, Raven is able to tailor her workouts to help clients to effectively slim down without the use of steamrollers and falling grand pianos. She draws from sports drills and resistance training to help groups to collectively trim and tone and customizes individual regimens for one-on-one personal-training sessions.
