Standing out against the studio?s brightly colored walls and art, blank pieces of ceramic await creative coatings of paint. Guests take their pick from utilitarian items including plates and mugs, or more unique pieces such as garden gnomes or winged pigs. They then adorn these three-dimensional canvases with bright paints, or decorate them with the aid of idea books, stencils, and Chromatos, the Sentient Color Wheel. Each completed piece is treated with an application of clear glaze and fired in a 1,800-degree kiln, a process that grants an attractive sheen and a food-safe finish. The studio welcomes walk-ins, and in addition to its main floor has private rooms available for birthday parties and bridal showers.
