The instructors and therapists at Yoga + Herbs strive to help clients lead healthier and more fulfilling lives by restoring a sense of balance between minds and bodies. To accomplish this, the center offers a variety of wellness approaches, including yoga classes that teach students how to develop a greater awareness of their body's capabilities. These classes range in physical intensity, from dynamic power yoga sessions held within a heated practice space to more tranquil classes that emphasize meditation and mindful breathing exercises instead of demanding asana sequences.
If yoga alone can't help visitors find the relief they seek, Yoga + Herbs also offers a variety of ayurvedic and naturopathic treatments intended to alleviate painful conditions by jump-starting the body's natural healing processes. Bodywork sessions—including everything from reiki therapy and reflexology to cranio-sacral massage and neuromuscular therapy—can help support these efforts as they target the sites of withheld stress and tension.

Pro Tip: We want to bring a true yoga experience to people of all levels so that they can evolve their practice.
Exercise is challenging, and people frequently give up on their fitness routines. How do you keep clients motivated?
We offer a variety of class levels and yoga styles for our students. You can start out at your appropriate level and move on to more challenging classes or different styles. Our instructors frequently attend additional training and apply their knowledge of new techniques to their classes. We also offer workshops, series and events.
Sweating to the oldies is acceptable, but sweating to the blues less so. Do you find that certain styles and genres of music generate more intense workouts?
We utilize a variety of music to establish the proper tone for the class. Many of our teachers also read a daily inspirational quote to their students.
Besides working out, what else can clients do to spend their time at your facility?
Our vision is to offer a full yoga studio at a lower cost that includes amenities such as a sauna, a steam room, and a juice bar, as well as gym access and child care. Massages are also available in our adjacent spa.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
We hope to bring affordable yoga to the community in a more serious and dedicated fashion. When introduced to yoga in this way, you will grow in your practice and appreciate its benefits.
When a man nicknamed "The Grin Reaper" is in charge of your gym, you know you're in for a tough workout. That would be Nicholas Mezzacappa, the owner of CrossFit Freehold. Each weekday, as early as 6 a.m., he and his staff lead exercisers through CrossFit's workout of the day, a continually changing series of exercises that can be broadly categorized as functional. Think jumping on a plyometrics box, pushing a barbell over your head, or impressing the judges with your moves on the Olympic rings. Before any newcomer touches a barbell or ring, however, they have to learn the proper lifting technique during introductory CrossFit Fundamentals classes.
Passersby that peer inside the windows of CKO Kickboxing won’t see treadmills, ellipticals, or stairclimbers. Instead, they’ll spot rows of heavy bags lurching backward and sideways from the force of participants’ kicks and right hooks. The kickboxing-focused gym doesn’t need excessive equipment or a catalog full of workout programs—the high-intensity fitness regimen of kickboxing is more than enough to shape up CKO members. Students of all levels reap the system’s multifaceted benefits, burning up to 1,200 calories per class, releasing stress, and developing a six-pack more realistically than drawing on their midsections with a marker.
