The championship-winning coaches at Gym Skills lead an array of tumbling and gymnastics classes in a noncompetitive and encouraging atmosphere. Mommy & Me courses, geared toward children ages 18 months–2.5 years, allow parents to join in on introductory limb bending, while preschool gymnastics lessons ease 3- to 5-year-olds into the world of muscle malleability. Both half-hour classes gently work little ones' flexibility, balance, stretching, and tumbling skills using kid-friendly gym equipment such as trampolines, balance beams, and 500-pound teddy bear dumbbells. Obstacle courses test youngsters' abilities to climb, jump, perform forward and backward rolls, and unravel shuttle-launch algorithms.
Once clients are comfortably ensconced in the dentist's chair, the oral exam begins. At Gahanna Dental or Affordable Dentistry, the resident toothsperts will check each individual incisor, cuspid, bicuspid, and molar for chips, cracks, and stains, ensuring that enamel bones are sound for biting. The x-ray battery exposes the roots and inner sanctums of oral stalagmites to reveal any soft spots, problem areas, or cavities. When your mouth checks out as mammalian and your teeth are cleared for take-off, the professional teeth cleaning begins. An expert cleaning removes all the buildup and surface staining that regular brushing and flossing can't—hardened tartar, hard-to-reach plaque, and bacterial graffiti along the gum line. After a professional oral exam and cleaning, guests are then free to leave with newfound confidence, enabling themselves to step up to the plate and bite whatever life throws at them.
If you ask the trainers at K Zone what the keys to fitness are, they might say function and variety. And they would know: they've all lost 20–60 pounds themselves. At this studio, their main goals are to incorporate a variety of exercises for their clients during personal training and boot camps that keep muscles guessing and heart rates up. Kettlebells, free weights, resistance bands, and medicine balls are just some of the tools they use to help clients achieve their fitness goals. During boot camps, each client gets an intense full-body workout and sessions are available at varying times throughout the week to help accommodate almost any schedule.

Big things can grow from small beginnings. Just ask Zoe, the cartoon (and real) canine mascot of The Laptop Guy. The computer-repair shop began with a rented counter in a toy shop, where the company's founder and his dog sold laptops to passersby. His dedication to his customers and Zoe's playful nature brought in more and more customers, until the repair and sales shop could no longer fit next to the action-figure aisle. More than 10 years later, The Laptop Guy has grown into a multi-store business that solves customers' smartphone, Apple, Android, and PC issues with online support, in-house repairs, or onsite troubleshooting. Cartoon Zoe and her owner still greet customers on the company's website, and the real-life versions can be found in one of the repair shops on any given day.
