Texas Photo founders Angilee Wilkerson and Jana Perez, draw from their expertise as masters of the fine art of photography to impart camera-wielding wisdom to shutterbugs in informative classes. Each morning, the formidable photographers snap still lifes of their breakfast cereal to maintain the skills that have earned them recognition from the The Center for Fine Art Photography and the Fitton Center for Creative Arts. In classroom courses, the teachers edify students about specific technical topics, such as using Photoshop to add layers, resize images, or seamlessly crop Janet Reno into every family portrait. Photo safaris meet at scenic locations such as the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens or the Dallas Farmers Market, where pupils capture photographical fodder as Angilee and Jana proffer picture-framing advice. Classes do not exceed 20 pupils in size, allowing for ample individual attention.

The snapshot rejuvenators at Odee's Photography reconstruct tattered and faded images into brand-new keepsakes. A technician can breathe new life into portraits ravaged by time, poor storage, or dogs tired of ingesting homework after scanning photos sent via email or physical mail, or dropped off in person. Each scanned image is bolstered by a series of programs that erases rips, fades, and stains, and adds color or tricorn hats when requested. The technician then sends a proof of the pictures back to patrons via email for approval. After the images are satisfactorily restored, the frozen life moments are emblazoned onto a 4"x6" print and captured on a CD before the original pictures and their new reproductions make their way home in the mail. Customers can also elect to pick up their prints or receive them through email.

While Kelly uses picture snapping as a creative outlet for herself, she's made it something much more for others—something that captures candid, gone-in-a-second moments that can be cherished forever. She's built a portfolio that today includes weddings, family portraits, newborn babies, and more.
