It takes all of your wits to dodge paintballs while still gaining on your competitors, so the last thing you should be worrying about is where your next footstep will fall. That’s why Xplosive Indoor Paintball Arena negates the dangers of clod-filled fields and sock-soaking streams with an indoor paintball arena designed to keep players focused on the game rather than their surroundings or on-looking spirits of the forest. Each arena admission comes with all the equipment and air refills needed for play, with à la carte options available for those who already own their own gear. Outside the arena, TVs broadcast the news and paintball tips, and concession-stand staff members dish out snacks for those regaining their strength for another bout.
With 8 years as a Navy man and 19 years as a martial artist under his belt, Jonathan Brown knows a thing or two about staying in shape. During his military career, he helped his fellow soldiers keep in peak physical condition with his training sessions. At Just Be Healthy, he widens the scope of his efforts to include civilians. With a healthy respect for physiology and the wisdom of a longtime athlete, he tempers his challenging workouts. "You shouldn't feel pain while working out," he says, "You put yourself at risk of injuring yourself. Workout at 85% at most. 75% is ideal."
Maintaining that level of intensity for one of Jonathan's entire workouts is still a no easy business. To help students stay energized, Jonathan turns to music. His workout soundtracks draw tunes from across continents and generations, as he plays everything from samba and capoeira's Brazilian rhythms to dubstep and metal.

Zumba, ballroom dance, and Les Mills group exercise classes shake up adult workout routines, as complimentary childcare frees up parents to pursue fitness goals. Meanwhile, adult sport leagues such as basketball and racquetball result in friendly competition and hyper-literate team names inspired by obscure philosophers.
Glenbrook Park Golf Course’s narrow fairways stretch across 6,700 yards of relatively flat terrain undulating with vibrant tree lines for a challenging, par 72 layout. Running in a straight line through the course, a 180-yard ravine stands in players’ way on six holes, placing confident swings and 9-irons unafraid of heights at a premium. Though not an overwhelmingly long course, the layout counters with narrow fairways and small- to medium-sized greens that are difficult to hit from any distance. Glenbrook’s par five ninth hole—the hardest rated on the course—amply illustrates the course’s manifold difficulties, as players must bisect a narrow, tree-hedged fairway, lay up to the edge of the ravine, and send their third shots somersaulting over the chasm and into a bashful green hiding behind a treacherous bunker and trust issues.

Taught by a certified Texas DPS concealed handgun instructor, CHL-Training.com's four-hour class takes an interactive approach to covering the laws, shooting fundamentals, and safety tips necessary to carry a concealed weapon. Held at The Marksman Indoor Range, the class includes a classroom portion and a shooting session, during which students test their aim by firing 50 rounds of ammo at a B-27 target from a complimentary loaner 9mm semi-automatic handgun or their own gun. Pupils also receive ear and eye protection. Upon completing the class, each student receives the authorized paperwork needed to apply for a concealed handgun license.
