Cindy Sherman developed a love for photography at a young age and, after working as a professional photographer since 1980, opened her own studio in 1985. Cindy specializes in portraits of families, high-school seniors, expectant mothers, and pets at her studio, which has indoor settings and a 1-acre outdoor portrait garden with plenty of photogenic settings including a waterfall, a castle-style wall, and a crashed UFO. She also travels to local homes and other venues to take on-location portraits and wedding action shots.

"Anyone can take a picture," say B&B Photography's artists, "but at B&B, taking a picture is just the first step toward creating a work of art." Not content to merely capture a subject's likeness, the photographers coax personalities into print. That's why they help high-school seniors design their own shoots, and why the babies they take pictures of are allowed to take those pesky hair bows off and blow as many raspberries as they'd like. B&B's family and senior portraits are taken at B&B's studio, which offers indoor and outdoor options. Favorite proofs go through a round of retouching before they hit frames.

Bring any image as small as 700 kb to Perfection Image Studios's professional framers and artists, and they will crop, sharpen and enhance it until it fits on a brilliant 20"x24" Giclée canvas. An Epson 9900 printer uses the industry’s top-of-the-line UltraChrome K3 archival ink to reproduce your photo with cool coloration, superb saturation, and archival preservation for up to 200 years, at which point photographs melt into a puddle of memories. Perfection Image Studios uses American-made canvas and museum-quality, acid-free substrates. To protect against rogue fingerprints and gecko suction cups, the canvas will be machine-coated with a special UV protective finish that is somewhere between glossy and semi-glossy, at which point they will be stretched and ready for framing should you choose. Pictures (.jpeg or .tif files) can either be emailed to the studio or dropped off in person.

Jill Davidson, owner of Emotion Portrait Design, is a PPA Award–winning photographer who strives to create a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests. A savvy snapper and skilled photo finisher, Jill enjoys getting to know her clients and capturing their personalities in a way that delivers meaningful, time-treasured images. The outdoor family portrait session is an ideal way to capture your entire tribe in one place amongst natural splendors. An accompanying digital image ($375) allows lighting impurities, camera-hogging sparrows, and nature ghosts to be edited out, while allowing you to edit in the middle child you forgot to pick up from soccer camp on your way to the studio. Additional prints cost extra, from $20 for 4"x5" to $528 for 40"x60".

Up in Pieces prints custom jigsaw puzzles in various shapes and designs, using your personal photos and water-resistant UltraChrome inks, which are said to last 80 years before fading. Puzzle purchasers can tinker with a slew of options on the shop’s website to create custom puzzles ($20 base price for an 8”x10” puzzle) or choose from four unique puzzle-piece styles, with the option to add novelty pieces ($5 each) cut to look like butterflies, words, or famous Lithuanian diplomats. Predesigned cuts allow customers to decorate an 8”x10” cake-shaped puzzle ($25) or beautify an 8”x10” heart-shaped puzzle ($25) with the countenance of a loved one. In addition, an in-house graphic designer oversees every Up in Pieces puzzle order to ensure clients’ photos remain vibrant and are never stretched or skewed.
