Tempest Freerunning Academy's trainers invite everyone, regardless of their age, athleticism, or experience, to learn more about the philosophy of parkour and the fluid acrobatics of freerunning. The academy features training areas developed by X-Games course designer Nate Wessel, which consist of ledges, ramps, railings, short walls, and other obstacles that students learn to effortlessly vault and traverse over time.
Classes meet throughout the week and cater to the capabilities of attendees. During the beginners' sessions, visitors will learn fundamental parkour movements and methodologies while developing the strength, balance, and body awareness that they will need to master the flips and bar techniques introduced in more advanced lessons.
Above all else, these lessons emphasize the core philosophy that people can learn to seamlessly navigate real-world environments with grace and free-flowing sequences of movement. Safety remains a priority for the trainers at all times though, and they ensure that students respect their limitations as well as their surroundings before attempting to perfect a new technique.

LA Boxing offers fitness classes in boxing, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts. The proprietary style of the LA Boxing workout is a mixture of genuine fight training, engaging fitness, and stronger-than-earth gravity. Quasi-boxers and martial artists may burn from 800 to more than 1,000 calories during these total-body routines, which combine external inspiration with jukes, jabs, and kicks. Both men and women are welcome in the ring, where they'll learn new techniques and methods to blissfully break into a sweat in an energetic group setting. Gloves are provided during the one-month trial membership, as are a set of reusable pro-quality hand wraps and complimentary motivational mumbling from Burgess Meredith (all three subject to availability).
At Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy, the instructors relay the teachings of Brazilian jui-jitsu's creator, Helio Gracie, who valued leverage and timing over strength and speed. Students can learn those values during the academy's coed Gracie Combative program, which teaches 36 essential self-defense techniques. Complementing the main program are kids' programs that teach youngsters how to neutralize bullies and women-only classes that show females how to counter 15 common attacks.
