The YMCA is a cause-driven organization that is for youth development, for healthy living and for social responsibility. That?s because a strong community can only be achieved when we invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors. All of our YMCA of Coastal Georgia locations embody these three values so that everyone regardless of age, gender or income is given the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive at the Y. With a variety of group fitness classes ranging from Zumba to family fit nights, spin classes to TRX and everything in between, you?re sure to find what you?re looking for at the YMCA! Our staff pumps up adult fitness regimens with aquatic fitness and boot-camp classes, basketball courts, personal-training sessions and so much more. We?ve also filled our fitness centers with free weights, cardio equipment, and weight machines. When they?re not helping adults trim down waistlines during Brazilian-jujitsu, cycling, and aerobics classes, staff members are getting back in touch with their inner children. They stimulate imagination, mental development, and growth as they lead children?s day camps, after-school programs, and numerous sports offerings.
When it comes to the color white, the trained specialists at Sparklen White Teeth don’t see every shade alike. During in-office treatments, they use an LED light to transform teeth between two and eight shades whiter. Each procedure causes little to no discomfort, and, if patients follow their practitioner’s aftercare suggestions, results can last for years.
Since Dr. Stanley Pearle opened the doors to the first Pearle Vision in 1961, the franchise has expanded to more than 800 stores nationwide. In these stores, optometrists assess the ocular health of patients before onsite opticians help them navigate the assortment of frames from brands such as Versace, Ray-Ban, and DKNY. If they're not in the store, clients can utilize the Try-On tool, uploading a photo to see what they or their dog looks like in different types of glasses. Pearle Vision also helps focus the world with contacts from Acuvue and Biofinity.
It takes Lord Eye Center's opticians one hour to produce a pair of prescription glasses. Working at an onsite lab, they fit frames from more than 30 designers, using an electronic tracing device to render the thinnest lenses possible. The shop's optometrists can also prescribe various types of contact lenses, from continuous wear and disposable to bifocals and colored lenses. Dr. Whit Lord, owner of Lord Eye Center, scouts out the latest cornea-hugging designs as a member of several advisory panels for contact-lens manufacturers.
FitnessWitness's experienced instructors invoke the power of group exercise through an eclectic schedule of cardio and strength-training classes in a supportive setting. Rev up the heart during 55-minute coed cardio stompers such as Step H.E.A.T., which combines Zumba-esque choreography with step aerobics, and Cardio Drums, in which students grab a pair of drumsticks and pound along to upbeat music, working out the upper body and hard-to-reach inner teenager. Exercisers brandish dumbbells and stretch resistance tubes tailored to their comfort level in the Strength & Balance circuit-training class. To lengthen and strengthen muscles, a FitWit Flow session fuses yoga, Pilates, and balancing exercises popularized by oak trees swaying gently in the autumn wind. FitnessWitness students sweat in a clean, spacious studio framed by lime-green walls and sleek wooden floors.
