In 1990, Trish Lounsbury opened Celebrations with her husband, Stan, and her father, Ed. They seek out products from artists, designers, and leading companies such as Crane and Sweet Pea when crafting custom invitations and stationery. They also specialize in custom framing for a variety of projects, as well as unique gifts and elegant wrapping papers.
For 50 years, the owners and staffers of Plaza Artist Materials & Picture Framing have encouraged the artists of their community. They visit local fairs and set up booths for kids to color and craft, and they do workshops, demos, and classes for artists of every age. As their name implies, they also outfit art makers of all skill levels with top-of-the-line materials, such as Gamblin oil paints, Prismacolor pens and markers, and custom frames perfect for saving favorite art pieces or memorializing a sibling's failure to color within the lines.
Backed by more than 30 years of experience, Frame Outlet's image wranglers know how to tackle any custom-framing project. Custom-built shadow boxes in colors from black to gold protect collectibles such as war medals, baseballs, or Tom Selleck's mustache. After selecting a suitable frame, a skilled specialist can help select a matte that adds extra oomph to the keepsake in question. Frame Outlet also carries a variety of premade frames, which can quickly make any room stand out like a mouthful of braces at prom.
As the official publication of the Keeneland racetrack and auction company, Keeneland magazine saturates readers with quarterly chronicles of the Bluegrass region and Keeneland racing culture. Tradition-focused 2011 issues will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the equine institution with pieces on such topics as Keeneland memorabilia collectors, the location's popularity as a romantic destination for proposals and weddings, and the fedora-flaunting aesthetic of race-goers. Also illuminating the publication's glossy pages will be spotlights on regional thoroughbred breeders, profiles of local artisans, and other Lexington lifestyle features.

Clients at Southern Rays take control of their skin shades by using customizable UV- and sunless-tanning systems. Beds and booths come in six levels of UV intensity (up to a $25 value/session) so that clients can gradually prepare for the day when humans migrate to the sun. The Mystic Tan HD system (a $30 value/session) applies spritzings of UV-free tanning solution in the privacy of an individual chamber, and airbrush tanning paints pelts in each client’s most suitable shade. Southern Rays’ knowledgeable staff is always on hand to answer questions, provide tanning tips, and console useless sunbeams. Check the equipment page to see which services are offered at which locations.
