Whether he's training a celebrity for an upcoming role in an action film or helping a client lose weight, Joey Dillon is poised to challenge and motivate. It's a role the personal trainer first took on in high school, when he would assist his fellow football players in reaching their fitness goals. Now the owner of STATUS Athletic Club travels to his company's locations in LA, Miami, New York, and Atlanta to oversee the various programs he's established and personally train clients.

Clients will find plenty to do to jump-start their fitness routines or maintain their physiques. They can simultaneously strengthen muscles and self-defense skills during Brazilian jujitsu and muay thai kickboxing classes; fortify their cores and postures in Pilates sessions; and trick themselves into working out during upbeat Zumba classes. They can also meet with nutritionists to create meal plans that will help them shed unwanted pounds?or relinquish stress and muscle aches during massages and chiropractic appointments.

Indoors, the competitive and aerobics pools are tailored to lap swimmers and lesson takers, maintaining a constantly balmy temperature of 82–85 degrees. These temperature-controlled oases can also be rented out for birthday parties regardless of the season, and provide a training ground for swim teams, stroke-and-turn clinics, and lifeguard training.

Although each of the seven Just Fitness 4U locations has its own distinctions?such as the Lawrenceville location's 24/7 hours or the Marietta location's 25,000 sq. ft. facility and marble lobby?they more or less share the same tools for getting in shape. For starters, each is furnished with state-of-the-art Life Fitness and Hammer Strength equipment, which can be used or lifted to increase strength. Moreover, the facilities have a team of certified personal trainers and group fitness instructors who lead one-on-one workouts and fitness classes such Pilates, Zumba, yoga, and spinning, respectively.

The The Dive Shop's instructors, drawing from Scuba Schools International's programs, teach water-safety skills to fledgling divers and swimmers of all ages. Classes and activities range from the Scuba Rangers club?where kids aged 8?12 learn to snorkel and scuba dive from the safety of a pool?to open-water dives, swimming lessons, and more advanced stress-and-rescue dive sessions, during which instructors turn dog paddlers into almost-mermaids, minus the pet octopuses.

Aqua-Tots Swim School trains and encourages swimmers in the art of buoyancy through its array of services, specializing in instructing those aged 6 months–12 years in small groups. Instructors boast national certification, completing 32 hours in the company’s Lessons for Life training program and successfully completing the Water Safety Instructor exam.

Children are placed in one of eight class levels, from Tadpoles (6 months–18 months), which acquaints infants with the pool, to Stingrays, which is for children who have more experience and want to refine their strokes and one day sting a jellyfish. Each individual class contains no more than four students training under the watchful eye of the instructor in a climate-controlled indoor pool. In addition to the children’s program, Aqua-Tots Swim Schools also leads adult swim classes and provides training for both swim competition and first aid.
