Just because fingernails and toenails are small doesn't mean they can't be festive. The technicians at LaVie Nails gear up for each major holiday with themed nail art: patriotic colors for the 4th of July, green for St. Patrick's Day, and bright pastels for Easter. They even offer pink designs for Breast Cancer Awareness month, dappling nails with hearts and ribbons.
The technicians maintain attitudes that are just as cheery as their polish designs, and they prioritize continuing education to stay on top of mani-pedi trends. As they pamper clients in lipstick-red pedicure chairs, they wield thoroughly sterilized tools, conducting add-ons such as callus treatments, foot scrubs, and hot-stone massages. After their appointments, clients can browse LaVie's line of bejeweled sandals.
In addition to their polish, gel, and acrylic treatments, the staff members also administer custom facials. They pull from Dermalogica and PCA Skin products to address a range of skincare concerns, from acne and signs of aging to buildups of dead and zombified skin cells. Waxing services round out the spa menu with a focus on speed and comfort.

The interior of a business can affect how its customers feel. What kind of decor do you use to help make your clients feel pampered and at ease?
Our decor is modern with a touch of a vintage flair. I use professional equipment and products, aromatherapy and soothing music to make my clients feel more relaxed and comfortable.
What steps do you take to make your clients feel at ease?
The first thing I do is get to know my clients and find out what look they wish to achieve. I walk them through the service I'm about to preform so they know exactly what to expect. Then I put on their favorite music and allow then to sit back, relax, and enjoy.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
One last thing I want to add is my main goal is to strive for perfection. I am constantly expanding my knowledge on the latest trends and techniques and take extended and advanced learning courses to make sure I'm providing professional quality service to my customers. I want them to know that this isn't just my job. It's my passion, and I believe that shows through my work.
Out of your entire repertoire, which is your favorite service to perform and why?
My first love has always been bridal makeup artistry. To be apart of such a special day is truly an honor. There's nothing more gratifying then helping clients look and feel beautiful on such an important day. Even so, eyelash artistry is my newfound love. It still gives me that gratifying feeling of knowing I gave someone's confidence boost as they leave satisfied with the result.

The relaxing atmosphere of a traditional spa is balanced with professionalism of a doctor’s office at All About You Medspa. It’s staffed by a team of registered nurses, licensed massage therapists, and laser technicians. Their diverse menu of services also reflects this balance. Stylists take care of hair at seven different salon stations. Aestheticians perform chemical peels and photofacials—an advanced technique to remove red and brown marks from the skin—in addition to revitalizing European facials and manicures. Laser techs on hand use up-to-date technology to zap away hair for long periods—one of the many noninvasive, nonsurgical procedures offered at the spa.
