The staff at Artistic Images shares their hairstyling skills with their clients, but also with other stylists around New England as styling educators. That’s not to say that they don’t keep up with their own training; in fact, they keep abreast of hair’s latest trends in order to cut, color, permanently straighten, or otherwise re-texturize hair in the way their clients envision. Their knowledge as educators helps them make product suggestions so that clients can maintain salon looks at home.
The therapists at this relaxing day spa bring natural healing to both the body and mind. They loosen tightly wound muscles with hot stones, bamboo sticks, and warm candle oil, which simultaneously nourishes skin for a silky soft feel. More than 10 types of facials tend to skin-specific ailments, be they acne or signs of aging, with specialized serums and soothing techniques. And during body wraps, the therapists enlist plant extracts and essential oils to remove excess water from systems—leaving bodies as light as the day they hatched.
Certified aesthetician Agnes Plewa uses Pevonia products during her custom facials, which may cleanse pores, treat rosacea, or reduce blemishes. Her skincare treatments may also include such ingredients as caviar, licorice, and green tea. In addition to offering facials, she provides waxing services, using a hard wax from France to remove unwanted hair from the body.
