The team of trainers at UPEC Fitness includes a former USC defensive back, the daughter of a Mr. California titleholder, and a high school athletics coach whose students have earned scholarships to prestigious institutions such as UCLA. Armed with diverse backgrounds and knowledge, they lead their students through a broad spectrum of programs ranging from personal training and boot camps to Zumba, aerobics classes, and sport-specific training for football, golf, volleyball, basketball, martial arts, and more.
The Upland Arena Indoor Sports Complex allows athletes to play without fear of rain, sunburn, or mosquito bites. The indoor center's four TigerTurf synthetic grass fields host kids' and adult soccer leagues, as well as adult dodgeball programs. After games, fans and players can mingle at the bar and grill, which serves pub fare such as nachos, wings, and flatbread pizza. The restaurant's also an Official U.S. Soccer Bar, airing all U.S. soccer men's games.

Within the 8,000-square-foot Redline Athletics Lake Forest facility, instructors lead athletes of all levels through sport-specific training. Redline Athletics coaches have a lot of experience in a variety of sports—some were professional baseball players, some were standout college athletes, and one was a strength and conditioning coach for the New York Mets. The Lake Forest location has Erin and Cory Yoder, who played college volleyball at USC and UC Irvine. In addition to training athletes, they offer generalized classes in strength, agility, and endurance.
PickUp USA takes the infamous pitfalls of pickup basketball?uneven teams, sloppy play, and incessant arguing over fouls and whose mama gives the best hugs?and replaces them with officiated and organized game play without the restrictions of a league. Its members hit the courts in a pristine 17,000-square-foot space, which features a lounge, a stretching area, and courts built by the designers who create them for the NCAA and NBA.
Inside Rock Fitness’s recently constructed 20,000-square-foot facility, jagged and slanted walls brandish holds that climbers uses to scale upward while attached to safety harnesses. The indoor rock-climbing course features surfaces for low-altitude bouldering and roped routes that ensure safe climbing all the way to tops of Rock Fitness’s towering walls. Special packages for beginners include belay lessons, day passes, and all the necessary rental equipment, such as harnesses, chalk bags, and belaying devices. The facility, which is open 24 hours a day, also houses a basketball and volleyball gym and hosts a variety of fitness classes, including Zumba, yoga, and kickboxing.
