A joint venture between a professional boxer and a team of successful kickboxing-equipment tycoons, Title Boxing Club maintains a network of dozens of studios spread across more than 20 states, winning over a devoted clientele with its invigorating and engaging boxing- and kickboxing-themed classes. Each workout uses the heart-healthy exercise of cardio training to satisfy people?s innate desire to punch and kick something other than a broken jukebox. Participants build lithe, strong muscle tissue by delivering powerful blows to punching bags, and build flexibility and agility by practicing roundhouse kicks and hooks. Students can build their core strength and endurance with medicine balls and burpees, enlist a qualified personal trainer to practice their newfound skills in the ring, or just torch calories during intense full-body Power Hour workouts.
Fred Astaire Dance Studios' highly experienced instructors instill the subtle elegance of waltzes, fox trots, and tangos into dancing gams. Private introductory lessons school feet in a choice of over 20 styles during sessions, as individuals or couples learn the basics of ballroom dance, dance-floor etiquette, and surgical options available for second left feet. Aside from private sessions, group classes encourage amateur dancers to test out their skills with fellow frolickers during 45 minutes of sashaying and socializing. By the end of their introductory education, students whirl and waltz through the studio's spacious dancing environment with more confidence than the Lord of the Dance at an Irish nightclub.
Inside the nearly 6,000-square-foot Gent's Boxing Club, trainers turn punch-shy patrons into confident fist-slingers, testing their newfound sparring skills in a full-size ring. Before women and men step through the ropes, instructors run them through customized one-on-one or group training regimens that incorporate equipment such as weights, cardio machines, and more than 40 bags. Teachers also construct strenuous workouts around jabs, fancy footwork, and techniques for using referees as human shields in boxing fitness classes six days a week. Adept at working with beginners and pros alike, the club's trainers take any student above the age of eight.
Cari Lopez has spent her entire life in the water. Throughout her childhood, she splashed in the pool and swam competitively for ten years. As an adult, she now puts her skills into practice by teaching private swim lessons. During lessons, children six months and older practice water-safety skills, while older children work on techniques including freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, and walking on water. In addition to swim lessons, Cari provides water therapy for children with disabilities, using her experience both as an instructor and as the mother of a child with special needs.
