At Biatchi Salon and Spa—the beauty emporium she's recently taken into her hands—those techniques include Japanese hair straightening and pumice-peel facials delivered by a staff of 17 friendly salon professionals. An expanded front room has completed Biatchi's transformation into a treasure trove of full-body styling assistance; flowing blouses drape over hangers, giant blossoms burst from handbags, and metallic beads dangle from whimsical, vine-like display racks.
