Designed by golf legend Arnold Palmer, The Bog?s 7,221-yard layout sprawls across 297 acres of tree-lined fairways, wetlands, and rolling , mounded terrain. The well-bunkered course incorporates all of the native surroundings into one seamless, award-winning layout, in which golfers must send balls somersaulting over intervening water hazards, avoid sprawling thickets of native tall grasses, and resist the urge to forsake humanity in favor of the vibrant ecosystem of the Cedarburg Bog, which forms a natural border on multiple fairways. Hole 17?a par 5 that forms the longest and most demanding hole on the course?embodies many of the course?s distinct characteristics, as stick-flickersclubbers drive from a low, water-kissed tee-box before climbing an uphill, 593-yard split fairway that doglegs left around sprawling waste hazard areas and into a green fortified by six bunkers and mounded rough. A duo of PGA-certified instructors roam throughout the course and its adjacent driving range, imparting score-shaving advice in lessons and fending off rogue windmills hoping to upgrade from their mini- golf residences.

Before exercisers put sneakers to treadmills or lift their first weights, staff meet with them to talk about their fitness goals before suggesting personalized fitness plans based on clients' strength, cardio condition, and bionic-limb manufacturers. The gym keeps members motivated with regular check-in calls and demystifies healthful eating with custom online meal plans designed by nutritionists. Staff also forestall exercise-routine boredom by working individually with clients on a routine basis.
At four locations around the Wisconsin area, Neutral Ground Martial Arts & Fitness introduces kids and adults to disciplines such as Brazilian jiu-jitsu, judo, mixed martial arts, and kickboxing. The Equinox Jazz Orchestra delivers soul to the stage, paying tribute to influential songwriter Johnny Mercer. At the Mostly Mercer Show, the band aurally embraces the audience with classic American songs, including “Fools Rush In,” “Days of Wine and Roses,” and “Blues in the Night.” Ears perk up at the sound of fondly remembered tunes such as “Moon River,” a greater success than either “Star Stream” or “Orbiting Celestial Body Waterfall.” Enjoy the high-octane trumpet wails and southern groove of band leader Jeremy Davis’s professional ensemble as it performs an original arrangement of Mercer’s music, specially commissioned by the Friends of Johnny Mercer to mark the songsmith’s centennial.
