Orthodontist, Dr. Joshika Kanabar outfits more than 100 mouths with Invisalign aligners each year, which means she has earned the title of Invisalign Elite Preferred Provider. Modern Invisalign treatments help patients gradually straighten their smiles with a series of clear retainers that come without a ban on corn-on-the-cob consumption. Dr. Kanabar also puts teeth in their place with self-litigating braces that offer a lower profile than traditional braces. She and her team maintain a welcoming office environment, complete with hot beverages, Wi-Fi, and gaming consoles in the waiting area.
If there is one word that describes Active Dental, it is modern. The Baylor College of Dentistry–trained doctors at each of the two practices scan teeth with digital x-rays, display cavities on chair-side flat-screen TVs using intra-oral cameras, and light up their work with Helios technology, LED dental rays designed to focus on mouths instead of shining in eyes.
With hundreds of locations across the country, Right Dental Group represents a collection of oral-healthcare professionals who deliver a variety of quality dental services. The collective places an emphasis on relationship building—meaning patients can confess their most egregious toffee-apple trespasses while receiving a teeth scrubbing delivered with precision and understanding. Each of the dentists is prescreened for a consistent record of excellence and the ability to efficiently locate a cavity in a toothstack. A skilled doctor and staff will skillfully probe forgotten mouth corners, eradicating tartar and expunging plaque from bacterial lairs. The included x-rays will help uncover any oral problem areas that cannot be seen with the shamelessly naked eye. After treatment, clients will be privy to tips that explain the proper brushing and flossing techniques to ward off gum disease and tooth loss, ensuring tongue-stoppers remain firmly rooted to the rest of the skeletal system.
We are proud to provide a state-of-the-art facility for the highest quality dental care available. It is one of our top priorities to protect the well-being of our valued patients. We are confident that you will feel right at home in our office as we welcome all patients as if they were family.

When it comes to the integration of Eastern and Western medicine, Dr. Carlos Chapa might as well be the poster child. He spent nearly a decade learning and practicing Western medicine, first as a medic in the U.S. Marines, then as a civilian paramedic. When he took a sabbatical from his budding medical career to study abroad in China, Dr. Chapa's early interest in natural cures—stemming from visits to his grandmother's small town in Mexico, where she acted as the town healer—took root in the form of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He delved head-first into this new passion, earning his master's degree and then his PhD in Oriental Medicine from Dongguk University in South Korea, which led him to study at one of the world's first hospitals that integrated Eastern and Western principles.
Today, Dr. Chapa brings this integrative approach to clients at Valley Ranch Acupuncture. As a licensed acupuncturist who has treated thousands of patients, he uses this 5,000 year old technique to decrease pain, boost energy, and affect hormone levels in clients, all with the aim of treating the root cause of the issues and not only focusing only on the symptoms. True to his forward-thinking style, Dr. Chapa may even swap out the hair-thin, virtually painless acupuncture needles for a laser. The low-energy beam is used to target the same locations and produce the same results as acupuncture needles, but require no penetration of the skin.
