In an effort to provide eco-friendly transportation and deter drunk driving on the Southern Methodist University campus, a group of SMU grads decided to try something new: pedicabs. These bicycle-powered, open-air cabs only use the energy of their college-aged drivers to shuttle riders throughout the city, whether it be to and from the bars on a Friday night or through the Dallas Arts District on a romantic ride. They've even been known to take on odd jobs, sometimes taking riders apartment hunting, tricking out cabs in Just Married signs and streamers for newlyweds, or cruising past all the manholes Mr. Magoo has fallen into. Patrons may book rides or special events by calling the company’s office or flagging down one of the neon-green-shirted drivers along their regular routes.
Taxi's BBQ & Catering’s chefs slow-smoke tender Texas-style brisket, ribs, and chicken on-location to spice up parties and special events. Homestyle sides complement barbecue entrees and range from potato salad to baked beans to Taxi's taters—chive mashed potatoes crowned with cheddar cheese and bacon. Taxi’s hickory-smoked cuisine is also available for carryout and delivery for those incapable of using forks in the presence of others.
There are always a thousand things to remember on travel days. Did you pack only 3-ounce liquids in your carry on? Do you have your passport? Did you remember to bring a book for your dog to chew on during the flight? But when it comes time to leave, the experienced drivers at Strictly Transportation Service can ensure customers arrive safely and on time so trips get off to a smooth start. Services can be scheduled 24 hours a day, which allows passengers to get a ride to even the earliest of flights. And the fleet of luxury vehicles can be used for transport to Dallas/Fort Worth International or Dallas Love Field airports, as well as for a stylish ride for weddings or nights on the town.
