Kerry Allan crafts portrait and wedding photography in a spacious studio seven days a week. Grab a few randomly selected Facebook friends or fly solo and pose against a panoply of flattering backdrops. After the session, traipse to the studio to peek at the resulting images on a large screen, selecting print-worthy pictures to hang in hallways or panic rooms. The photographer can make any necessary tweaks, then send one 8”x10” print, one 5”x7” print, and six wallet-size images of any two poses of your choice. Allan’s influences include classical portraiture, modern photojournalism, and the palette of the Southwest United States.
At Strike a Pose, professional photographer Laura Tocco captures her subjects' likenesses and transforms them into unique, artful portraits. Equally adept at celebrating the individuality of newborns, children, adults, and prize-winning gourds, Tocco can create a customized rendering that lets the sitter's personality shine through using unique poses, playful props, and edgy backdrops. After the session at Strike a Pose's studio, clients can choose one 11"x14", one 5"x7", and eight wallet-size prints from one pose to dispense to friends, autograph hounds, art-starved walls, and confused stamp collectors.
Candid’s Tony Galic has made celebrations elegantly two-dimensional since 1970. During the relaxed one-hour studio portrait session, Galic poses Homo sapiens of all ages, ensuring the correct lighting for effects such as rosy glow, film noir, or the earth’s molten core. Portrait subjects are allowed to bring a single outfit to pose in, regardless of sudden superhero calls to duty. After the session, the studio sends newly glamourized subjects an 8”x10” gift portrait and access to a digital slideshow of the best shots from the whole session. To ward off click-induced carpal tunnel, this deal also grants a 20 per cent discount on the first print order.
Photographer Julie Mckee captures treasured time trinkets from the comfort of her studio or amid the outside environs of her waterfront property and surrounding woods. Prospective portrait subjects will receive an email with session tips upon booking, allowing patrons to delicately mask their dorsal fin before glitzing up for a relaxed and natural session of baby, family, pregnancy, engagement, or artistic boudoir images. Upon completion you will be granted drawbridged entrance to a password-protected online gallery to view your singular snapshots, and along with your variety of 8”x10”, 5”x7”, and wallet-size prints, you will receive five low resolution, logo-stamped images for use in social media or digital photo frames. The one-hour session can accommodate up to four people, and Julie offers indoor and outdoor sessions all year round, so subjects can preserve snapshots of live-action long jumps over piles of autumn leaves, lingering spring snowdrifts, or summertime sunscreen puddles.
