Founder Patrick Willard keeps the gym open to everyone and leads a team of nationally certified fitness experts to teach everything from Zumba to martial arts and yoga. Trainers motivate clients during small-group boot camps, swift 30-minute circuit-training classes, or one-on-one training sessions. Nutrition seminars supplement the sweating by preventing budding bodybuilders from undermining their gains by falling prey to unhealthy diets of cement sandwiches.
A Chat with Paint Therapy
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We are focused on turning your experience into art entertainment. If you are not an experienced painter, don't worry! Our art-laxation specialist will walk you through the whole process so it will be a work of art! We do also have freestyle and open sessions for the freestyle artist! We love children!
Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring?
We provide everything! You just bring your own beverages and snacks, if you like. We do keep snacks at the studio as well. Come, paint, sip wine, and be awesome!
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
We want to bring a smile to your face! Our business provides an experience to make you happy! Art makes the world beautiful and everyone is an artist at heart.
What do you love most about your job?
I love to watch people walk out the door with smiles, pleased with the art they get to take home. Nothing is more fulfilling then someone telling me they had a great time.
Motivations Fitness’s owner, Jameel McGregor, has earned the nickname the Reverend of Fitness for his view of the body as a temple. He and his team of certified professionals deliver their fitness sermons at a 700-square-foot studio outfitted with colorful stability balls, punching bags, and equipment such as the Smith machine, which encourages proper squat form. The studio’s signature five-component program—a cocktail of cardio and resistance training, supplements, meal planning, and professional guidance—draws on the latest fitness research to efficiently condition physiques. The Boxing Fitness Bootcamp Academy hones fighting prowess with core training, shadowboxing, and sparring rounds with a couple life-size Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots. In an effort to bolster public health, the gym’s nonprofit Move2Lose Foundation raises awareness of fitness’s importance in the surrounding community.
At Free Spirits Yoga, owner Audrey Stephens and her staff help students get in touch with their minds, bodies, and souls. Stephens, an RYT 500-certified teacher, teaches the studio's meditative Road to Self yoga classes, which range from introductory Level 1 classes to more intensive three-hour workshops. The rest of the instructors schedule more traditional yoga classes. Those who want to immerse themselves even deeper in yoga should sign up for the 200-hour teacher's training program.
