Sparked by the enjoyment she got chronicling the lives of her two boys, Shannon Elaine’s fascination with photography turned from a budding hobby into a fully bloomed career. She knows how wonderful it feels to pick up a beautiful photograph that brings old memories back to life, and she strives to create such salient images during her photo shoots. Shannon's portfolio features humanoids at all stages of life—from newborns sleeping peacefully and one-year-olds smashing their birthday cakes to engaged couples, expectant mothers, and graduating seniors.
Paige Flamm tends to describe herself as a wife and mother before mentioning her photography career. The order makes sense: to keep expectant moms, kids, and families completely at ease, Paige draws on her parental patience and listening skills during every Flamm Photography session. She mixes several approaches during on-location shoots, subtly snapping candid images in between relaxing, playful poses, like prom attendees giving the limo driver bunny ears. All of Paige's appointments culminate with edited, digital versions of her best work on discs, which she sends to clients within a week of the session.

A goofy grin. A couple of happy wedding tears. A newborn’s wonder-filled gaze. To Allison Jayne Meder, every moment is magic, and she captures the best of them through the lens of her trusty camera. She honed her skills for documenting memories while studying photojournalism at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, but it’s her lifelong passion for authenticity that allows her to recognize and freeze the most meaningful emotions. She draws out these emotions during laid-back portrait sessions for families, couples, kids, and moms-to-be. To give her photos an extra touch of the dramatic, she scouts eye-catching locales and works with exquisitely composed close-ups as well as panoramas. She also adds polish to the final product with digital retouching services, ensuring that colors pop, light softens, and least-favorite cousins are airbrushed away for flawless magazine-quality productions.
BTC Photo Booth NC's booths are nothing if not spacious—their current record for number of guests squeezed into a photo stands at 16. The booths—which require an area of 10'x10'—are outfitted with DSLR cameras and touchscreen displays, printing strips of four photos instantly after each group finishes their shoot. Fun-causing options include boxes of props or a green screen, allowing party guests to pretend they are within feet of a roaring dinosaur or a vicious seal. Though the booths are self-service, one or two technicians accompany the machines to set up, break down, and keep the memories flowing.
