Powered by a custom-built, no-emission technology, single and double go-karts race down straightaways and hug the turns of THE WEB Extreme Entertainment?s more than 500-foot electric track. Heart rates race in the indoor laser-tag arena, where games unfold on eight upper-level platforms, each with their own open-grid floor. Meanwhile, guests can conquer the pins and pretend to be giants at a Hawaiian-themed miniature-bowling alley replete with six wood-grain synthetic lanes, score monitors, and optional bumpers. More miniaturized fun kicks off at Jurassic Par, a black-lit nine-hole course where guests putt past such prehistoric creatures as a 17-foot-long apatasaurus and 6-foot-7 disco enthusiast.
At the Winners Caf?, chefs reenergize visitors with oven-baked dishes such as 100% ground-chuck burgers and cincinnati chili. The Web accommodates groups of up to 600 guests in its spacious party rooms and keeps the fun going until midnight every Friday and Saturday.
Kids bounce off the walls of inflatable bouncers, cascade down air-filled slides, and squirm through plush obstacle courses at Pump It Up's indoor playground. Designed with safety in mind, this staff-supervised funhouse excites children's imaginations while they burn off extra energy at open jump.
Also designed as a party venue, the interactive party experiences involve interactive themes such as Pirate Quest and Superhero Training Camp, which challenges kids to decode secret messages as they listen to an adventuresome soundtrack. To fuel parties, parents can purchase pop, pizza, and cake, alongside balloons and goodie bags. Strengthening both imagination and body, Pump It Up also offers Jump-N-Art summer camps, where kids replicate Picasso's creative process of painting, then getting dizzy in an inflatable mansion.
When you think of Cincinnati, you might not imagine live palm trees, white ocean sands, and tumbling waterfalls, but all of those sights can be found throughout The Beach's water park. With more than 40 different slides and attractions intended for guests of all ages and interests, the park provides entire days' worth of sun-soaked leisure and excitement. Here are a handful of the available attractions:
Great-white sharks, silverback gorillas, and bengal tigers guard the nine holes of That Fun Place's phosphorescent mini-golf course. That?s where families tap neon golf balls through aquatic and jungle landscapes before kids holster putters to climb through the padded three-story playground. Visitors can slip through tunnels and peer through portholes at the Greenfield location or slam into each other under more black lights in bumper cars at the Greenwood location. Meanwhile, in the laser-tag arena, kids and adults slink through rainforests and space ships to fire the same photons that render alien skin smooth and hairless.
Outside, carnival games envelop visitors in natural light, and children mine for gems and arrowheads at the wooden sluicing contraption. With a full-service pizza parlor on site and an arcade filled with more than 40 games, That Fun Place can also host birthday parties for up to 22 guests.
Scallywag Tag's arena dazzles eyes with a black-lit, neon-tinged pirate ship and 18th-century Caribbean village, which provides a labyrinth of fluorescent walls for marauding swashbucklers. After being split into two competing crews, participants receive a vest, a phaser, and instructions to tally as many points as possible by tagging opponents, swarming the enemy's home base, or holding a referee hostage until he or she doctors the score. The score itself is broadcast on wide-screen LCD scoreboards, but those who are too busy taking out the adversary to look at them can take heart knowing that at the end of the game, the referees announce the winning team.
Outside the fast-paced laser-tag arena, Scallywag Tag encourages visitors to recharge with a drink or a slice of pizza from the snack bar. The arcade sections also distract patrons by featuring perennial classics such as air hockey as well as new favorites, including Time Crisis 3 and Find That W2 Form.
The West-side location additionally lures younger passersby with a pirate-themed jump house and a 35-foot-long slide in the family entertainment center. The West-side’s black-light miniature golf tests hand-eye coordination skills, leading guests through a gauntlet of 18 holes that similarly embrace the pirate theme.
