Under the leadership of Dr. Raymond T. Sekiguchi, the medical staff of Greenwich Weight Loss & Wellness Center wield lasers in a quest to help clients shed unwanted inches. A branch of Greenwich Hospital, the center uses FDA-approved Zerona lasers to reduce the size of fat cells. In addition to accumulating numerous honors and plastic trophies, Greenwich Hospital was named one of the four safest hospitals in Connecticut by the Leapfrog Group, an organization that advocates for patients.

Enzo Riccobene and his wife Linda work side-by-side inside his namesake salon and spa. They cut, perm, color, and straighten manes as patrons relax in sleek white chairs. Other pampering services include a facial that gives the pink slip to acne and aromatherapy massages. Post appointment, clients can pick up Moroccan Oil and L’Oreal products or peruse the salon’s collection of handmade jewelry and handbags.
Pangaea Massage owner Clare Wilson, a licensed massage therapist with more than 12 years of well-kneaded experience, tends to the flesh of clients by wielding Swedish, deep-tissue, and sport-related strokes. In the integrated Swedish massage, Wilson combines several Scandinavian methods, including long, rolling strokes and the gentle humanism of filmmaker Ingmar Bergman. The deep-tissue treatment delves deeper in order to tenderize muscles and stimulate blood flow, while the sport massage addresses issues born out of repetitive movements and never-ending penny hunts. Customers put themselves in Wilson's hands amid diaphanous curtains, warm lighting, and tranquil earth tones.
It's appropriate that the most luxurious spa package at Dream Spa & Salon—which includes an aromatherapy steam shower, a facial, a detoxifying body treatment, a Swedish massage, and a mani-pedi—is named Cloud Nine. Apart from the bliss that name suggests, it also encapsulates the spa’s airy, serene, and cushioned ambiance, which follows guests through private rooms during personalized services. Even the decor, captures the simple elegance of a floating cloud with see-through glass and white orchids on the tables that contrast with soothing gray tones throughout the spa and salon.
Owner and beauty-industry veteran Lori Dodd has a penchant for this type of attention to detail and forward-thinking sophistication. To complement her spa’s streamlined design there is the ultra-comfortable dream lounge with reusable beverage containers, and a decreased reliance on paper for menus. On the salon side of the venue, her hairstylists likewise believe in attractive minimalism and shy away from overcomplicating their cuts, colors, and texturing treatments. Yet the staff's emphasis on a clean aesthetic doesn't deny lavish procedures. Every facial at Dream Spa & Salon includes an essential-oil-infused steam, and guests can benefit from a dreamy shower, included with every massage experience. The team also bronzes clients with even, natural-looking tans via the Suvara spray-tan system.
At the age of 15, Becker Chicaiza, the future owner of Becker Salon, met a homeless man named Victor in his hometown in Ecuador. He brought the man to his family's home where he gave him food, clothing, and a haircut. Becker's family was impressed with his kindness, but even more so with the way the haircut transformed the man's appearance. Soon after, people in town began to request haircuts and women even asked Becker to color their hair. Spurred on by his success, Becker left Ecuador for Greenwich where he dedicated himself to his craft. Since then, he's made a name for himself in the world of fashion, taking second place at L'Oreal's 2008 Mondial de la Coiffure competition in Paris and working with Zac Posen and Jimmy Choo at New York Fashion Week. He brings all of this experience to Becker Salon, where he and his team of stylists help clients to achieve the looks they've seen on runways and in international airport-security lines. To create those looks, they snip strands and tint them with INOA ammonia-free color or Kerastase products infused with antioxidants. Additionally, a complimentary glass of champagne or cappuccino welcomes clients when they enter the studio.
