An innovative, child-focused program pioneered in Korea, E.nopi's educational classes have enriched and enlightened curious kids for 30 years with individualized approaches that strive to understand the child’s point of view. Each class begins with a skills assessment to tailor instruction to children's strengths before launching into a fun and approachable lesson that may use learning aides such as colorful workbooks, whimsical wooden shapes, and entertaining audio CDs. New concepts are continually revisited in a variety of creative contexts to reinforce learned skills and keep ideas from taking their summer escapes to libraries in the Caribbean, and light, consistent take-home work is encouraged to keep intellectual elements flowing. Math classes stress critical thinking and problem solving to engage brainy bambinos in independent thought as they glean a better understanding of arithmetic, patterns, geometry, and more. Meanwhile, English classes streamline skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, resulting in the ability to lull parents to sleep with softly read news articles. Geared toward ages 3–14, each class is aligned to U.S. educational standards and can serve as educational enrichment, a supplement to regular schooling, or preparation for being a contestant on Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?.
Teeth have many natural enemies: black coffee, red wine, cigarettes, and rocks that happen to be delicious. Fortunately, they also have two allies in Drs. Kaveeta Channamsetty and Sid Tucker of Pearl Dental. Both dentists specialize in cosmetic and implant dentistry, though their regular exams prevent teeth from needing too much of either. Whether they're filling cavities or replacing teeth with dental implants, they draw on more than 25 years of combined experience to get the job done right.
Though their offices are at two locations in Stamford, Shippan Dental Center and Family Dental Practice share a single mission: to keep teeth clean and white. They do this with preventive and cosmetic treatments that range from routine checkups to dental implants. But patients don't just come to these dentists to deal with cavities or teeth lost while eating raw corn off the cob. At both locations, dentists also cure oral ailments such as bad breath and gum disease.
At South End Dental Center, Drs. Navtej Singh and Jasmeet Kaur lead a dental team that performs everything from cleanings to teeth-whitening treatments to veneer placements. Helping them along the way are state-of-the-art tools such as digital x-rays and computerized anesthesia.
The dental defenders at Stamford Dental Group keep chompers healthily effervescent and stave off all manner of mouth-menacing maladies. During an exam, these trained tooth technicians will meticulously inspect for any traces of health hazards, including gingivitis, oral cancer, or long-stuck popcorn kernels growing into popcorn trees. Then they’ll explore oral ecosystems from all angles with a series of bitewing x-rays and an innovative Cone Beam CT scan machine, which snaps three-dimensional digital images in mere seconds, significantly reducing radiation exposure, as well as the risk of fidgety molars prematurely breaking their pose. After the exam, a thorough scrubbing of enameled surfaces leaves teeth ready to pleasantly shine during dates, wedding photos, or Mr. Ed impersonation contests.
