Iron Gate Farm owner Lisa Eisele harnesses a life's worth of horseback-riding dedication—including a youth career with the American Paint Horse Association—to enrich the skills and horsemanship of novice riders. Along with instructor Sarah Hutchinson, who draws upon her own extensive experiences breaking and showing horses in various disciplines, Lisa emphasizes safe riding techniques as well as important skills such as barn husbandry, equine first aid, and reminding steeds to double-knot their horseshoes. When not accommodating students at private sessions, group lessons, or summer camps, the farm also shelters owners' horses in 12'x12' matted stalls replete with blanketing and twice-daily feedings.

Throughout the week, Magnolia Lanes rings with the clash of pins, the whir of arcade games, and the satisfying crack of solid billiards breaks. While they are closing frames or gathering evidence to prove that the hand is quicker than the eye in the arcade, guests can stay fueled up with drinks and concessions from the onsite bar and kitchen. Magnolia Lanes also hosts league bowling, as well as special events such as karaoke.

Crafted by the same wood wizards who built ramps at Woodward's renowned skateboarding camps, Hazard County Skate Park is chock full of ramps, rails, soapboxes, and sweet transitions to appease skaters of all ages and skill levels. Beginners can embark on a four-wheeled adventure, learning basic skills such as how to push properly, how to drop in, and how to perform a 900-degree spin by pressing up arrow while holding the B button. More advanced riders scoot closer to board mastery by focusing on kick flips, front 360 flips, the pop shove it, and various grinds and grabs. Private tutorials are offered any day of the week; simply call ahead to make an appointment. Social skaters may opt for two group classes, held Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. to noon. Classes are led by skate scientists Eli Williams and Shelton Halstead, who in addition to being talented teachers and avid McTwisters, also spend time singing "Defying Gravity" from the musical Wicked.
