Since 1976, the environmentally conscious staff at The Futon Shop has stocked futons, furniture, and frames built from chemical-free cotton, natural latex, and hybrid soy foam, among other virtuous ingredients. Cushy mattresses, vibrantly shaded futon covers, and platform beds preserve the earth’s bounty as effectively as they accommodate human bodies and under-the-bed monsters. Homeowners can also illuminate domiciles with eco-friendly Eangee lamps, which have a carbon footprint of nearly zero and are manufactured by workers who earn a living wage. Even little ones can enjoy the environmentalist furnishings by napping on an organic crib mattress nestled in a bunny white baby crib.
Since 1997, the owners of Naturally Organic Sleep have been stocking their store with chemical-free organic mattresses and bedroom accessories. The store features the full collections of the Natura, Nature’s Sleep, and Magniflex organic lines both in their showroom and in their online store. In addition to being sustainable and environmentally friendly, their products allow customers to sleep better knowing they are not exposed to chemicals or forced to count genetically modified sheep.

India's Rose's owner, Carter, demonstrated a passion for design at a young age from watching her father draft his architectural designs to selling her own creations door-to-door. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to start her first business, Lemonheads, while still in school, before joining the Pottery Barn design team. After the birth of her first daughter, India Rose, Carter established a business designing items for the likes of Anthropologie and Pottery Barn before opening her own boutique. Thrift stores and imagination inspire its brightly colored, exotically romantic collection of textiles, body products, candles, and floral-printed tractor-trailers.
