Shore Elite Training Studios, or better know as SETS, is a boot camp that gets participants moving, sweating, and shedding pounds. During sessions at SETS, campers perform a battery of pushups, sit-ups, burpees, and other exercises to chisel away fat and reveal lean, toned physiques. Sessions take place 25 times a week at one location. Prospective clients are encouraged to call for the schedule and for training information.
Home may be where the heart is, but a gym is where that heart stays fit. The family-owned Pinnacle Fitness & Wellness fits both roles with a staff of personal trainers, fitness class instructors, and a resident nutritionist who helps each client achieve their fitness goals in an intimate workout environment. Group fitness classes provide a supportive environment for students to shape and tone their bodies through Zumba, cardio kickboxing, and TRX training. Instructors even lead students in Flirty Girl Fitness classes, which aim to strengthen the core and create long, lean muscles using moves from pole dance routines, music videos, and speed dating seminars. Personal trainers also led small group fitness workouts for two to five people and individual sessions that take into account each client’s fitness level and needs to craft a specialized program geared toward sport-specific training or weight-loss goals.
Washington Township Fit Body Boot Camp combines dynamic resistance exercises with energetic trainers who hold clients accountable for their progress. The fitness experts also supply nutritional guidance, creating a comprehensive program that can help clients lose weight, live healthier lifestyles, and deal with issues such as high cholesterol.
In the eyes of an exercise enthusiast, 700 Fitness looks like a playground. Heavy ropes, tall boxes, and mallets wait to be hurled or jumped on. Bars of different heights support bodies as they swing up into the air, and elastic, neon straps provide resistance for challenging body-weight exercises.
But much like a ventriloquist dummy, the equipment is useless without some instruction. With the help of 700 Fitness's trained instructors, students weave through fitness circuits, KO punching bags, and learn how to always win The Floor is Lava game during parkour classes for all ages.
Exercise slings and punching bags hang above the wood floors of Jersey Girl Fitness' 3,500 square-foot studio, where ranks of all-female staff and visitors use them to build up and tone muscle. Instructors help visitors sweat out stress in dance and fitness classes such as TRX, boxing, Pilates, yoga, hip-hop, boot camp, kettle bells, and tabata.
Fusion Cross-Training offers group and personal training; it's not an exercise factory where rows of strangers sweat silently, but rather a chic, imitate studio where the staff works with the workouts and the heart, muscles, and mind exercise in unison. During one month of membership, students of health get unlimited access to cross-training sessions that include 25 minutes of cardio (running, biking, and rowing), a half hour of strength/resistance training with weights and bands, and 20 minutes of flexibility development via yoga and relaxation exercises. The workouts—which help clients lose weight, tone muscle structure, relieve stress, and burn through fat like hot frying pans—are led by qualified, motivational coaches, and end with a rest period that incorporates aromatherapy and massage to help relax both body and mind. Up to 1,000 calories can be burned in one session.
