  • Sky Zone
Inside each Sky Zone location, a wall-to-wall half-pipe made entirely of trampolines gives children and adults a venue where they can safely hop, bounce, and somersault to their hearts' content. The vast, taut, springy flooring doesn't end at the walls, but instead the trampolines continue upward to form angles perfect for crawling up, springing off, or sliding down. Visitors can meander along the bounceable terrain in the open trampoline arena, throw themselves into giant foam pits, or sharpen their competitive edges in trampoline-assisted sports such as dodgeball. SkyRobics classes merge gravity-defying fun with fitness during instructor-led workouts that include calisthenics, core exercises, and strength-building aerobics to help guests shed calories without hurting their joints or taking a wrong turn on a treadmill.

  • Pride of the Susquehanna Riverboat
Though it looks old-timey, The Pride of the Susquehanna Riverboat is actually a late 20th-century creation, built and launched in 1988. Yet it still harks back to simpler times such as the 1800s or last Thursday, with mahogany woodwork lining the interior, punctuated by stained-glass ceilings and a front bar covered in copper and brass tacks. After enjoying the 45-minute tour from this Groupon, many visitors return to experience a Murder Mystery dinner or one of the riverboat's live music events. Proceeds benefit the Pride of the Susquehanna's educational and charitable functions, including the Susquehanna River School- teaching students of all ages about the history and natural wonders of this mighty river, and educating on how we can preserve it for future generations.

  • ABC Lanes
Every Friday and Saturday night, the lights at all three ABC Lanes locations go dark. In their place, disco, black, and laser lights illuminate lanes. The change of scenery announces the start of cosmic bowling, whose glow-in-the-dark games, played against a pulsating soundtrack, last until 2 a.m. The rest of the week, open bowling sessions, league games, and tournaments unfold on the lanes, which total up to 46 at ABC's Mechanicsburg location. A smoke-free establishment, ABC Lanes can even accommodate junior bowlers with plenty of bumper lanes. Before and after games at all three locations, guests can update their gear at the pro shop or kick back with draft beers in the lounge.

  • Harrisburg Community Theatre
Theatre Harrisburg has always had community at its heart. Born in the "Little Theatre Movement" of the 1920s, the first place it called home was the basement of the Harrisburg Public Library. It was there that Mrs. Peters, president of the Women's University Club, gathered nine other women to discuss the creation of a volunteer-based company that could produce quality plays. And the women took action. For decades volunteers on and off the stage bounced from venue to venue putting on shows such as The Dover Road, until 1950, when it found its first home at Sixth and Hurlock in uptown. Then, in 1997, the Theatre made a commitment to be the resident company at the new Whitaker Center. Still, whether putting musicals such as The Rocky Horror Show or non-musical dramas, such as a version of Death of a Salesman with all the tap numbers taken out, Theatre Harrisburg relies on the talent of the community.
