Hair We Are revitalizes patrons with a staff of massage therapists and aestheticians armed with a slew of comprehensive spa-service techniques. The Ultra Hydrating facial nourishes and rebalances dehydrated skin types in a way that taking a convertible through a car wash never will, attending to the complications caused by sun-damaged, mature, or stress-affected skin. Muscles in need of a tune-up can alternatively submit to a Swedish massage (starting at $60), which includes light to medium pressure in a full-body kneading designed for relaxation. The deep-tissue massage (starting at $75) addresses chronic muscle pains with deep-muscle therapies, and the hot-stone massages (starting at $80) slide across the body in search of subdermal stress deposits. For any massage, the addition of aromatherapy oils (add $5) caresses the olfactory senses while awakening the skin, the mind, and passersby.

UniqueLink Life Coaching's seasoned massage therapists instigate a mass exodus of stresses and pains during 60 minutes of therapeutic or deep-tissue kneading. Gentle hands glissade, thrust, and electric boogaloo over the body's terrain, using circular motions designed to bolster bodily circulation and weed out stresses that beleaguer backs more acutely than porcupine-lined ponchos. Alternatively, therapists utilize intense pressure during deep-tissue massages to make their way into the sinewy depths, working to unwind tense knots and free musculature from the bondage of long-standing aches. Patrons may upgrade to a 90-minute massage for an additional $15, due at the time of service.

Licensed massage therapist Lisa Reed manipulates muscles with holistic, tailored treatments that melt stress and expunge corporeal aches and pains. Before designing each massage recipe, Reed first interviews clients about their health history, specific areas of concern, and particularly delicate temporary tattoos. Expectant mothers relax with full belly support atop comfortable pillows and bolsters as Reed dances her fingers and palms gently across stressed bodies to reduce anxiety and relieve bothersome swelling. Custom kneading sessions lasting 30 or 60 minutes nurse injuries, soothe away stress, and defuse lingering pain from motorcycle-jousting tournaments. After their massage session, clients can spoil themselves with an additional 15 or 30 minutes ($15–$30 extra, not included).

Q&A with Stacey, Owner

What?s your favorite part about your job?

Making people smile and hearing that I gave them exactly what they wanted.

When and how did you first develop a passion for your work?

My passion for beauty started when I was a little girl playing with Barbie dolls. As a pre-teen I would play in the salon of a family friend and wash and style my friends' hair. By the time I was 16, I knew my passion was cosmetology. I loved creating hair styles for myself and my friends. I began my training at 18 years old, and now almost 30 years later, I still find the beauty industry the most exciting and rewarding career I could have ever chosen.

The interior of a business can affect how its customers feel. What kind of decor do you use to help make your clients feel pampered and at ease?

Our salon boasts wood floors, warm beige walls, classy black furnishings and a large front window. Our reception area has an electric fireplace, a self serve Keurig coffee maker, a sitting area with a coffee table, magazines, and hairstyle books. We offer a complimentary glass of wine to persons 21 yrs or older. Our open floor plan allows for open conversations between patrons and inspires a feeling of inclusion and friendliness.

Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?

Our salon is locally owned and operated by a mother and daughter team who share the same creative passion for beauty.
