Oodles kids' gym and learning center aims to help students of any age improve their physical or scholastic abilities in a fun, structured environment. Youngsters new to standing on their own two feet can fine-tune their gross motor skills in gym classes that combine games, songs, swings, and rides to induce smiles and confident movements. Older students in need of scholastic aid pair up with an Oodles tutor to tackle challenging homework assignments or arts-and-crafts projects. The learning center's curriculum also includes other brain-boosting classes, such as Korean languages, Bollywood dance, SAT study groups, and art-academy sessions. Classes run no longer than 45 minutes, which is long enough to help students grasp the day's lessons without reaching the limit of their attention span or jello-powered battery pack.
With five branches and over 80 franchised learning centers in the United States and Canada, JEI Learning Center has found international success, including an educational TV station, thanks to its model of self-paced learning.

Professional tutors help students make quick progress at Tutoring Club, where the staff relies on individualized instruction and a confidence-building structure. A low student-to-teacher ratio helps tutors track the progress of each student during classes that focus on math, writing, study skills, test prep, and more.
Breanna Clifton keeps busy. She's still in school, majoring in education with a focus in child development—a field in which she already has a degree—but she's found time to work with kids, receive professional awards, and stay active in her community. And, of course, she's even managed to found her very own company: BEE Smart Learning, which links students with Breanna for one-on-one tutoring sessions in an extensive array of academic and career-oriented subjects.
BEE Smart Learning started as an outreach program designed to serve at-risk youth and children with disabilities. But after Breanna started tutoring a few family friends, her college classmates got wind of her teaching skills and wanted in. Breanna started tutoring them, too. The rest is history.
The staff members at Sylvan Learning's numerous centers understand that each child learns differently. Therefore, they don’t try to implement a uniform tutoring system; instead, they design custom lesson programs based on the results of a skills assessment using diagnostic tools and one-on-one interviews.
Tutors work with students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12, illuminating topics ranging from basic reading and writing to remembering complex algebraic formulas without having them tattooed on your chest. Many of Sylvan’s instructors work in local schools, so they are intimately familiar with common curricula and understand how to gear lessons toward optimal results. Camps and after-school and summer classes can ready high-schoolers for the rigors of the ACT or the SAT, or they can help students to wow college-admissions officers with their superior essay-writing skills.
