Once the location of an unassuming furniture store, the Warehouse of Terrors now crawls with otherworldly denizens whose only interest in carpentry extends to their victims’ coffins. Over the course of 20–25 grisly minutes, interlopers navigate mazes built from derelict pallets and wend their way through vignettes populated by ghastly mannequins. Zombies, specters, and clowns lie in wait in the dark rooms, between which lie claustrophobic hallways, uneven walkways, and exit signs that point only downward.
Helmed by veteran dogsmith David Ullum, Champs Pet Grooming pampers pooches of all sizes with attentive care and natural products in a relaxed, restraint-free environment. Both rowdy pups and more demure doggies happily surrender their bellies to the experienced hands of bark-bilingual staff, who lavish fur coats with shampoo and conditioner before blow-drying them into flowing manes or stylized faux-hawks. Customized clipping sessions shear away errant cowlicks and kibble-catching goatees, and brisk flea dips and ear de-gunkings expunge six-legged squatters and waxy buildup. As the coup-de-grace, pooch manicurists pare back and polish overgrown paw talons (by request), express anal glands (by request), and send loyal lupines bouncing out the door to exchange more professional handshakes and less abashed sniff-offs. Additional charges may apply based on extreme coat conditions or extra-large statures.
Bashes go off without a hitch when hosts relinquish control to MyFunOverLouisville, which steps in to provide photo booths, racecar tracks, and portable mini golf. While photo booths capture and print whimsical pictures of guests decked out in provided props, fellow partygoers steer remote-control Ferraris or Mini Z's toward the finish line on the racetrack. If hosts have 350 square feet of indoor or outdoor space to spare, MyFunOverLouisville can also erect nine-hole putt-putt courses and set competitors loose with putters, colorful golf balls, and score sheets to tally strokes or use for sketching the festivities until the photo booth's set up.
The friendly and energetic photographers at CL!X Portrait Studios welcome families, seniors, and tikes into their studio, where upbeat photo shoots yield visually fetching portraits. During shoots, photographers delegate full creative power to the clients, who can direct their own shoots by bringing in pets, props, and any outfit they desire, while the photographer makes suggestions and exchanges ideas with the client. CL!X’s generous lenses let any number of subjects bunch into the frame, so golfers may pose solo or with their caddy’s extended family for the same charge.
