A forest of punching bags dangles from the rafters at Sweat Functional Fitness Training, where athletes throw jabs and hooks as instructors motivate them to push to their limits during each workout. Modeled after boxing training, the workouts supplement floating like a butterfly and stinging like a bee with strength training and kettlebell drills to light the path toward slimmer and stronger physiques. Patrons of all ages and fitness levels are welcome, and the goal of the fast-paced workouts is not to train championship fighters, but to inspire fit-seekers to whip into peak physical condition.
Like the plot of Rocky, Sweat Functional Fitness Training revolves around boxing, but has something for everybody. The trainers also lead fitness classes in TRX suspension training and kettlebell training, in addition to high-intensity indoor and outdoor boot camps.
LA Boxing offers fitness classes in boxing, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts. The proprietary style of the LA Boxing workout is a mixture of genuine fight training, engaging fitness, and stronger-than-earth gravity. Quasi-boxers and martial artists may burn from 800 to more than 1,000 calories during these total-body routines, which combine external inspiration with jukes, jabs, and kicks. Both men and women are welcome in the ring, where they'll learn new techniques and methods to blissfully break into a sweat in an energetic group setting. Gloves are provided during the one-month trial membership, as are a set of reusable pro-quality hand wraps and complimentary motivational mumbling from Burgess Meredith (all three subject to availability).

What's the most radical physical transformation you've seen a client make?
When one woman first joined us, she couldn't look people in the eye and refused to work with a male trainer. Today, she is a new person: 60 pounds lighter, stronger, more confident, and completely comfortable with all our trainers.
