Candy Evans's mother was a hairstylist, but Candy never asked her advice when she began experimenting with her friends' hair as a curious 15-year-old. In fact, she taught herself how to weave synthetic braids from a photograph. She then quickly learned to create flawless cornrows, box braids, and other styles on her friends. Her mother soon noticed her talent and, after showing her a few more advanced techniques, appointed Candy as her personal stylist to let her practice the things she had learned. Her true passion discovered, Candy soon earned her cosmetology degree, moved to Raleigh, and opened The Candy Shop. Today, Candy puts an emphasis on her clients' hair health as she performs creative cuts, imbues eye-catching color, and lengthens tresses with luxurious extensions and weaves.
At Premier Aesthetics, a board-certified physician personally performs each and every procedure. Dr. Melanie Lutz hasn't yet located the Fountain of Youth, but she's found a few things that make that search all but obsolete. At the top of her treatment menu is SMARTLipo, an FDA-approved procedure that uses lasers to trim down waists and reduce the risk of high cholesterol, hypertension, and diabetes. Dr. Lutz also avoids surgery when it comes to tightening skin, opting for an Ultherapy method that favors ultrasound waves to safely lift, tighten, and tone skin on the brow, face, chin, and neck.
