Over her more than 20-year teaching career, LPGA Class A Member Kristin Sunderhaft has used golf lessons as a way to teach her students a better way of life. She's even written a book about her experiences, titled Swinging For Success, Life Lessons I?ve Learned on the Golf Course. She passes on her time-earned expertise, which ranges from sinking high-pressure putts to eating well, during private and group lessons.
When it comes to golf instruction, she starts all students?men, women, and children alike?by asking them to take some practice swings while video analysis software captures each backswing hitch, premature head lift, and celebratory club spike. With the information gleaned from these videos, she can prescribe a cocktail of swing drills and training aids that will help students improve their grip, alignment, posture, and, most importantly, results. She also follows her pupils out onto the course for 9- and 18-hole playing lessons, wherein she can hold court on the finer points of course management and shot selection?skills that can prove elusive for beginner and intermediate golfers.

Las Vegas Rock Crawlers stamps the outdoors with treads from a fleet of fully equipped Jeep Wrangler 4x4s that have 35- or 37-inch tires and front and rear lockers. Using these utility vehicles, experienced guides lead jeep tours through the Valley of Fire, Amaragosa Dunes, Apex/Nellis Dunes, Eldorado Canyon, Red Rock Canyon, and Logandale Trails—listed in order from sightseeing terrains to terrains with the steepest drop-offs, sharpest inclines, and boulders voted most likely to succeed in rockslides. Each destination features bypass routes for novice drivers and obstacle-clad routes for experienced drivers. The Rock Crawlers crew also brings adrenaline rushes to customers' parties and events by setting up mobile ziplines.

The Revere Golf Club celebrates the legacy of the Revolutionary War hero with two 18-hole championship golf courses that extend for more than 7,000 yards apiece through the desert canyons of the Las Vegas valley. Players drink in the scenery as they take on the Lexington course, opened in 1999 on the same date Paul Revere made his famous ride, or the Concord course, opened in 2002 on the same date Paul Revere discovered text messaging. Each layout was carved into the rugged terrain by Casper Nash & Associates, the prolific design team of Greg Nash and 51-time PGA tour winner Billy Casper.
Once visitors have holed out on either 18th green, they can take to the 23,000-square-foot clubhouse. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows span the entire north side of the facility, allowing for magnificent views of the course and the Las Vegas strip from Buckman’s Grille. Diners enjoy breakfast and lunch options amid Revolution-era ambiance, complete with lanterns that shine overhead and signal whether to order surf or turf.

The artists at Wine and Canvas awaken their students’ inner Rembrandts and van Goghs with classes that pair a featured painting with specialty cocktails and wines. The mobile studio’s monthly calendar includes themed classes in which instructors expound on the nuances of painting Parisian street lamps, Japanese flowers, or Venetian cityscapes. The master painters—many of them local artists—provide step-by-step instructions, and students mimic each stroke and periodically dip their brushes into glasses filled with crimson cabernet. Each of the studio’s various drink-friendly venues boasts a specialty libation selected to incite creativity or conversations with fellow painters. When the artistic frenzy concludes, students return home with a finished masterpiece large enough to conceal any wall safe or mirror portal.
