Though Alexis Marie's background is in teaching preschoolers, she found her true passion after wandering into a boot camp during her summer vacation. She fell in love with the intensity of the workouts, and quickly realized that she wanted to swap teaching energetic children for energizing adults through exercise. She earned her trainer certification through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, and puts her knowledge to work at ABIL Body Fitness's boot camps and personal-training sessions. Alexis bases all of her boot camp's exercise regimens on how the body moves naturally: forward and backward, side to side, and in rotation. She constructs routines that engage muscles across all three planes of motion, with exercises scaled to ability level. Her exercises often imitate the movements of everyday life, making it easier to go home and heft bags of groceries or rapidly rotate your torso until you turn into a tornado.
