At more than 1,200 Mattress Firm locations around the country, shoppers sink into plush mattresses, recline on firm beds, and belly-flop onto pillow tops. Knowledgeable staffers can help customers create an ideal bedtime environment by dispensing advice based on sleep preferences and illuminating the difference between the many kinds of mattresses. And to the delight of their customers, much of Mattress Firm's bedding wears the label of a premium brand, such as Sealy, Serta, Simmons Beautyrest, or Stearns & Foster.
A skilled fine-art photographer, Meyer snaps genuine, photojournalistic images using only her keen eye, her camera, and her clients' honest emotions. Grab up to five family members and pose in front of a house, a garden, or a defeated doppelganger family while Meyer provides minimal direction and sets a relaxed mood, allowing each subject's true spirit to shine through in crisp, personal images. Meyer also attempts to capture several fine-art images during each shoot in order to create unique and intimate works of art for her clients. After the two-hour session, Meyer edits and proofs the images for display in the included online gallery, fulfilling the first step in your plan to take over the Internet.

What was the inspiration for starting this business?
I was driving to California to purchase olive oils, vinegars, and Wines because there were no olive oil and wine stores in the Las Vegas Valley. I figured that if I was driving to California to get these products, other people were doing the same thing, and maybe I could fill a niche. I also wanted to educate my customers on the health benefits of my products and ways they can use the products in their everyday lives.
What is the best reaction you?ve ever gotten from a customer?
"Oh my gosh, this is amazing."
What?s your favorite part about your job?
Engaging with my customers.
In 1965, Popular Mechanics ran a small classified ad for Brookstone, a new catalog company that packed its pages with functional products and detail-oriented descriptions. Brookstone quickly expanded to meet the high demand for its collection of ?hard-to-find tools,? and opened the door to its first retail location in 1973. Today, Brookstone?s more than 300 nationwide retail locations allow customers to test-drive its ever-growing lineup of interesting products, which range from Bluetooth-enabled massage chairs to power adapters designed for international travelers and their electronic passports. Staying true to its roots as a catalog company, Brookstone houses an even larger selection of products, each waiting patiently to be shipped, on its website.
