If the eyes are the window to the soul, then Optionz Photography Studio seeks to provide its participants with the knowledge they need to create the best-looking drapes for those windows. In fact, it offers a one-day makeup course that focuses only on the eyes, teaching participants how to create the perfect smoky eye with both creams and powders, how to apply false lashes, and how to shade and highlight the eyes. The academy, which is located inside a photo studio, also teaches newbies or practicing makeup artists who need to hone their skills everything from concealing and corrective makeup to contouring and color theory during a four-day intensive course. Additionally, it teaches those interested in working in the film or television industry how to apply HD-friendly coverage or period makeup, such as the Cupid's bow lips of the 1920s or the diamond-studded lashes of the Kardashian era.

Captain Rod MacLennan has made the skies his part-time home ever since his first solo flight in 1960. Over his decades-long career, he has amassed more than 20,000 hours of flight time, working as a flight instructor, Eastern Airlines pilot, and Polar Air Cargo captain. Wanting to give the public a taste of what it means to fly a commercial airliner, he opened Airline Captain For A Day in 2009, acquiring a range of simulators that run from easily-handled Boeing 737-200 to the massive heft of a 757-200. With digital displays and real gauges, trainee pilots take off and land their charges while the simulator pod shifts and bucks, mimicking the feelings of being in a real plane or on the shoulders of a real T. rex.
For more than 20 years, master glass blower Robert Shield has crafted his crystalline figures for people around the world, his masterpiece being a glass carriage and horse that he gifted to the British Royal Family. Seated before the azure flame of a torch, Robert can make a swan appear out of a plain glass tube, bending and blowing the hot, translucent material until it resembles the bird's feathered body and arcing neck, before smashing the piece because he hates swans. From his academy, Robert edifies protégés in the glass-manipulating arts, guiding beginners through creating festive ornaments and tear-drop necklaces, and empowering aspiring artisans to fire up saleable spun glass.
