Woolfson Eye Institute’s founder and medical director Dr. Jonathan Woolfson is a board-certified ophthalmic surgeon who has performed more than 70,000 laser vision-correction procedures. Such clinical experience has helped him earn the trust of other medical professionals; he has performed more than 300 surgeries on his fellow eye doctors and trained and certified more than 100 North American LASIK surgeons. He has also fine-tuned the eyesight of professional athletes, including Ovie Mughelli, Curtis Lofton, and Kroy Biermann of the Atlanta Falcons.
Dr. Woolfson draws upon this extensive experience each time he customizes a laser procedure to his patients’ needs. He and his staff of doctors begin every treatment with in-depth consultations, where they determine the lasers, instruments, and novelty sound effects needed to successfully enhance eyesight. Once they’ve completed their procedures, they also offer eligible patients a Lifetime Assurance Plan, granting them free lifetime access to any fine-tuning surgeries.
Spectrum Lasik's expert eye surgeon, Dr. Joseph Parisi, wields state-of-the-art technology to help bring 20/20 clarity to Palmetto State peepers. A commonly performed vision-correcting surgery, Lasik involves the use of a highly precise laser to remodel the cornea, increasing the accuracy of the eye’s light-refraction abilities. Helping to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism, laser eye surgery can decrease or eliminate one’s dependence on glasses or contact lenses, sending frumpy frames the way of floppy disks and once-loved Furbies. Patients will be referred to one of four locations in Greenville, Easley, Anderson, or Clemson for follow-up care.
Independent licensed optician Steven M. Pitman personally designed Spec's Optical Boutique, filling it with a massive wall grid of designer frames and abundant mirrors and employs his more than 25 years of experience in overseeing every element of fitting faces with frames. He and his wife, Gwen, demonstrate their lens-crafting acumen and devotion to customer service by happily outfitting wearers who bring in even the most difficult of prescriptions. An on-hand designer helps to pair patrons with frames that flatter their facial shapes, sense of style, and inner child.
At Biltmore Cakeball Bakery, pastry chefs swathe frosted cake in a frosted shell, sealing in more than 30 flavors of moist, bite-size batter balls. Popular picks include the red-velvet, chocolate, and key-lime confections, though adventurous tongues can also juggle a daily rotating cast that includes the likes of exotic guava, spicy chocolate, and coconut pecan. Once the balls are complete, chefs decorate the spheres with icing stripes to match patrons’ flavor and design specifications, ensuring an eye-nabbing display for birthdays, baby showers, and court arraignments.
