In 1971, Montessori Country School was started by nine local families. In the past 40 years, the school has moved locations and expanded facilities. While the school has evolved, our mission and focus have remained steadfast: MCS strives to deliver the best preschool and kindergarten experience possible.
Since 1996, A La Carte Limousine's professional chauffeurs have chartered a fleet of gleaming limousines, luxury sedans, party buses, and other vehicles that make travel a luxury. All of the drivers have passed drug tests, aced rigorous examinations, and bonded with their vehicles over candlelit dinners in the garage. With such high standards to maintain, they keep a professional attitude whether they're picking up corporate passengers, making airport runs, or leading winery tours through the countryside.
Passengers can choose from vehicles including stretch limousines with wraparound seating and roomy SUVs. Also in the mix are party buses wired to play movies and music as passengers swing 'round the dance pole beneath a mirrored ceiling.
Led by former social worker and licensed child and family therapist Laxmi Chauhan, the Montessori-certified staff at Dulles Montessori School strives to fulfill the school's motto to "accept and respect" each child. Trained assistants in each classroom give each child personal attention and help carry out the foundational philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori, which includes cultivating a child's natural desire to learn, create, and eat paste. The school's programs challenge young kids with a curriculum that incorporates music, math, and language skills, as well as sensorial materials that encourage observation.
AA Driving Academy was founded in 1994, but its instructors all have experience that dates back to before then and have taught thousands of students. They use this wisdom as the fodder for the academy's various courses, including behind-the wheel training for adults and teens and a Drivers Improvement Program. In that, students can add good points to their driving record. They also learn skills that could make them safer while out on the road or while weaving a go-kart through a crowded grocery store.
Since opening its doors in 1998, Language Stars has introduced more than 30,000 children to foreign languages with small-group classes and full-immersion activities. Through a selective process, Language Stars recruits ambitious teachers from more than 20 countries who share a common goal of revolutionizing how and when American children learn foreign languages. Parents and Tots Classes are available for children between 1–3 years old, and Kids Only classes are available for children 3–5, 5–8 and 8–10 years old. Absorbent little minds soak up Spanish, Mandarin, French, German, or Arabic with the help of their FunImmersion approach, learning naturally through games, songs, activities and art projects to help kids finally understand their foreign-exchange imaginary friends.
At Lopez Studios, students can hone musical and acting abilities in a supportive environment that focuses on developing character, integrity, discipline, and service. Baby hams who've given stirring performances in school nurses’ offices and soccer games can learn to tame and temper their thespianship with a few one-on-one acting lessons, while the piano and voice programs will expose students to a wide range of musical styles, such as classical, jazz, pop, R & B, gospel, and post-chillwave woodcore bossa-nova. Lopez Studios' expertly trained staff follow set achievement guidelines and prepare students for higher achievement goals with attentive one-on-one instruction that can't be replicated with lessons via choppy web video conferencing or 19th-century telegraph. Additionally, voice and piano lessons use an effective Round the World Rotation Sequence teaching method that allows students to discover their individual interest through an eclectic musical curriculum.
