In high school, Doctor of Chiropractic John Kiriakatis sustained an injury that he thought would stall his track-running career, but, after a handful of visits to a chiropractor, he was back to running laps. That sparked his interest in the practice and, for 15 years, he has been a chiropractor himself. He works to realign and strengthen the spinal column, relieving nerves, muscles, ligaments, joints, and bones that may be under stress. He supplements his exams with diet and exercise recommendations, as well as chiropractic treatments, to have his clients moving pain-free.
Dr. Khaled Attili and Dr. Mahir Saleh helm Access Dental, offering a long list of services that range from the basic checkup to veneers, root canals, and Invisalign teeth straightening. Teeth whitening, both in-office and in take-home kits, is available to bring chompers back to pearly white glory. Beyond tooth tasks, both dentists are certified in dermal fillers such as Radiesse and cosmetic treatments such as Botox.
“I’ve had a pair of clippers in my hand since I was 16,” says the eponymous Ray, whose passion for snipping locks drove him to found his own barbershop after years of working in others' hair studios. Now, he runs his own team of barbers, each of whom he trains personally. L’Oréal, Joico, and Paul Mitchell furnish the salon's services, allowing stylists to revamp manes of all hair textures and conditions, ranging from silken tresses to the hissing snakes of a gorgon. The staff enjoys challenges, from recreating classic styles to incorporating custom designs. Ray describes the microphone he once carved into a rapper’s hairscape before a photo shoot. “I like a challenge,” he explains. The design was challenging indeed—the mic's cord twined around his client’s head, down a sideburn, and across his face.
