It's hard to imagine that there's a libation out there that Crown doesn't carry. With a selection that spans vineyards, distilleries, and breweries from around the world, the bottles lining each location come from both small, artisan makers and those universally famed for their grapes or techniques. Home mixologists can cull inspiration for cocktails from a selection of top-shelf-brand mixers or pair their tipple of choice with gourmet snacks, from bush-pepper macadamia nuts to dirty martini party dip. But tastings may be the most distinctive thing about Crown Wine & Spirits. Whether customers stop in to try each location's daily offerings of wine or spirits—or for special tastings that cover dozens of wines, bourbons or beers—Crown's staff makes it easy to find a new favorite or to make up to your tongue for forgetting so many of its birthdays.
At Sunshine Riding Academy, what you see is not all you get. On top of the academy's 5 acres of private land—complete with two sand riding arenas—visitors make enjoyable use of the academy's proximity to Riverbend Park and its vast network of trails. Owner and trainer Jennifer Cole oversees all of the horseback comings and goings, conducting private and group lessons within the academy borders and guiding groups on trail-riding adventures. Her lessons focus on the disciplines of hunter/jumper and equitation, tailored to the student's age, ability, and goals for their time in the saddle.
Manatees glide under the silent shade of mangrove trees. Tropical fish flock together in clear island waters. Out in the wilderness, silence abounds, interrupted only by the jovial voices of tour guides as they point out special landmarks, including the historic Jupiter Inlet lighthouse. At Jupiter Outdoor Center, visitors immerse themselves in local ecosystems through watery sports such as kayaking and standup paddleboarding, embarking on guided tours, or heading out to explore on their own.
Group tours take paddlers out to explore local waterways and stargaze or search for marine wildlife. Guides expound on local history as they pass sights such as the Jupiter lighthouse and Dubois Park. On various trips, they can traverse calm waters in protected waterways through Jupiter Inlet Aquatic Preserve and St. Lucie Inlet Preserve, navigating open streams and mangrove-sheltered estuaries. Staffers also supplement their sport-based excursions in classes, during which they lead night or early morning wildlife-photography safaris or teach yoga workouts aboard standup paddleboards.
At Go Bare! a team of veteran aestheticians elevate their range of traditional spa and waxing services with a carefully curated collection of skincare products made both locally and around the globe. Their Belgian waxes are triple-filtered and infused with zinc and titanium dioxide to minimize redness after hair-removal sessions. For skin nourishment, aestheticians use a physician-developed line of epidermal elixirs hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, where they're made with vitamins and antioxidants. Locally made creams, meanwhile, boast 100% organic blends of mint and chocolate, or vanilla and honey, and are painted across freshly waxed skinscapes to soothe the aches that follow follicular uprooting.
Bounce U envelops kids in a colorful indoor playground populated with inflatable slides, tunnels, and jump houses. Kids can bounce and boomerang about the clean and monitored environment, which is also climate controlled to fend off the summer heat and a fleet of winter snowmen. Parents may jump along with tots during open-bounce times, as well as reserve bounce rooms for private parties of up to 25 people.
The Atlantic surf, the quiet shallow reefs, the warm stretches between islands—Jupiter Kite Paddle Wake makes these as accessible with ease. Amid racks of gear and boards by makers such as Cabrinha, North, Wainman, and Liquid Force, certified instructors wait to instill the basics of boarding in newcomers with kiteboarding lessons. Jupiter Kite Paddle Wake teaches everything from board set-up, to finding the wind, to idling patiently at sea turtle-crossings. Coaches are also happy to impart the basics of standup paddleboard cruising and racing in semi-private lessons, or train students to leave flat water and master cutting through the waves with paddleboard-surfing sessions. But the focus doesn't remain on oceanic newbies alone. Experienced aquanauts can join guides for private tours, or participate in on-water yoga classes atop their boards.
