Robert Brace—a celebrity personal trainer who's danced as a soloist for the Metropolitan Opera Ballet—may be from London, but he wanted to create a workout perfect for time-crunched New Yorkers who want to see results. And that’s how NYlean25 was born. Today, he and his team challenge clients with 25-minute workouts that incorporate interval training and constantly changing drills to keep bodies engaged. The instructors also help students maintain good form throughout the workout to ensure each exercise's effectiveness. Additional support, such as meal planning, speeds clients toward goals such as losing weight, becoming more toned, and passing the arm-wrestling portion of job interviews.

The trainers encourage their clients to push themselves and make the most of every minute—but they're not afraid to have a little fun, either. In fact, Robert helped comedian Mark Malkoff achieve six-pack abs in 28 days, and he taught the crew at PIX11 how to get fit even while they wore their nice work clothes, instead of the leather pants and corsets most often seen at the gym.

The Colorado Center for Photomedicine treats skin issues with a variety of light-based aesthetic and medical procedures. The Titan procedure bathes the face, neck, and abdomen with infrared light to tighten collagen bundles, making the skin look as if it went skinny-dipping in the Fountain of Youth. The process requires no surgery, injections, or recovery time—and after 30 minutes to an hour, faces will feel spry enough to go seven rounds with Father Time. Once you're finished, the center will provide expert guidance on how to nurture fertile faces during the three to six months it takes for new collagen to bloom into smooth cheekscapes.

Any fears of wardrobe malfunctions can be quickly subdued by the stock at Manhattan Wardrobe Supply, a supply store in Chelsea. Although largely geared towards theater and clothing designers; with crafts, sewing, make up and stage effect supplies; the shop also provides plenty for the average individual, including hangers, storage containers, shoe and boot laces and hosiery. If not too busy, the staff is happy to update clients on the latest trends, offer fashion tip, or simply namedrop the famous television and film stylists who shop there. Although there are plenty of frills on the racks, the space itself remains refreshingly free of super chic décor and feels more like a hardware shop.
