The Hawaii Super Sale Event is a three-day shopping extravaganza that supports local commerce and enthralls sale seekers with purchasable goods from approximately 200 businesses from the Honolulu area and beyond. Vendors offer up a wide selection of clothing, accessories, electronics, health & beauty, home & garden products, kitchenware, crafts, gifts, toys, and packaged foods for discounted prices in exchange for monetary compensation or a series of magical talismans that whisper in the night. Santa Claus himself, in his sweaty summer incarnation, will serve as an emcee for the event, hosting hourly giveaways, including Las Vegas vacation packages, cash prizes, and tips on corralling obstinate elf herds.

At Bay View Mini-Putt and Zipline, there are two types of people: Pali People and LikeLike People. Luckily, the mini-putt outpost maintains two corresponding courses. The Pali course gives folks a chance to stretch their legs, enjoy a nice walk, and take in a leisurely game of mini-golf. It's type-A brother, the LikeLike course, refuses to go in for any of that nonsense, preferring instead to challenge the pants off players with everything from steep banked walls, multi-level fairways, and faux sand traps. Of course, people can skip the links altogether and head for the trees on Bay View's new zipline that sends guests soaring through the trees at up to 25 miles per hour.

Designed to recreate Hawaii's native volcanic rock and its thrilling climbs, a multitude of climbing surfaces erupt throughout Volcanic Rock Gym's 3,000 square feet. From 16 feet in the air, a large top-out boulder hangs over an expanse of traversing walls, campus boards, and safety mats. Traditionalists can scale a vertical wall with the reassurance of a physical anchor on the top-rope routes, and rebellious climbers and mountain-goat impersonators can attempt the crack-climbing walls and bouldering façades. In addition, curious spelunkers can explore the bouldering cave, negotiating its ceiling holds and stubborn bats to emerge back in the gym from a massive overhang. Climbing routes change every month to present new climbing challenges and dissuade cheaters from memorizing all the foothold nibs before testing their climbing prowess.

An ideal spot for the whole family to get active, The Groove's facilities feature a range of activities for all ages. Kids as young as 8 can buckle up during go-kart races, which last about 8 minutes and zip around a custom-designed track. Those seeking something a little slower-paced can climb into the party bike, a people-powered trolley that is led around the city by guides for bar crawls, local tours, or just to prove to cars that we don't need them.
