Offering an around-the-clock workout venue for casual calisthenics crackerjacks and veteran muscle architects alike, Fitness Premier provides gymgoers with a vast array of up-to-date equipment. Lawrence Muruako is waging a full-on rebellion against the obesity epidemic. With a degree in exercise science from Ole Miss and a personal-trainer certification from the American Council of Exercise, he brings an extensive body of fitness knowledge to the battle.
Lawrence’s boot camps begin with an evaluation for each student, taking complex measurements that move beyond waist size, such as muscle to fat ratio. Armed with that knowledge, he leads sessions filled with plyometrics and cardio exercises, challenging students to negotiate obstacle courses and sweat through interval training. For guests with physical limitations, Lawrence tweaks the sessions, ensuring that his students can work safely toward their goals, whether they are to lose weight, build muscle, increase endurance, or finally get the confidence to ask the boss if casual Friday can include mascot costumes.
The passionate professional instructors at Performing Arts Academy teach dancers of all ages and experience levels to wiggle waists, shimmy shoulders, and tap toes. From elegant limb-bending ballet to floor-stomping hip-hop, the academy fills a three-night-per-week schedule with a diverse selection of group lessons, placing students by age and ability. The 30-minute Tiny Tot Tumbling course allows rambunctious munchkins to hobnob with one another as they learn the art of somersaults, cartwheels, and fire-eating, while grown-ups undulate their trunks in the one-hour Adult Belly Dancing class. A half-hour of Irish dancing instruction encourages legs to kick and tap with the unbridled energy of a poltergeist on roller skates. Each dance class wraps with a year-end recital, enabling performers to gracefully gallivant across the stage and validate the year’s lessons.
With more than 30 years of kid-entertaining experience, The Little Gym rolls out a safe and noncompetitive environment wherein wee ones can exercise their brains and bodies. Infants to 12-year-olds glean social, intellectual, and emotional skills from the facility's professionally developed programs in gymnastics, sports, karate, and dance, which cater to differing ages, levels of muscle development, and degrees of hatred for vegetables. Each session's hands-on activities keep the motors of little tykes revving, facilitate bonding, and boost listening skills, attention spans, and confidence. Check the schedule for class dates and times.

All About Yoga’s resident teacher Gabrielle Louise sought to change her life after years of stressful work in the financial industry caused her both chronic pain and emotional strife. She quit her job and hightailed it to Africa, where her studies in plant medicines along with ceremony and ritual earned her initiation as a traditional healer. Over time—some spent in India and Tibet—she found that a heightened state of well-being, enhanced by yoga and meditation, brought her above the physical pain she experienced on a daily basis. She describes this process as releasing deep stress from her body and mind, which is also referred to as stress ace yoga or natural stress control. Today, she shares this effort with her students at her studio, where her classes range from three yoga modalities to kriya meditation.
Gabrielle Louise guides students through a variety of yoga poses and, in the process, shows them yoga's many benefits, including deep relaxation, boosted flexibility, increased body awareness, and increased overall physical wellness. In addition, she also taps into other Eastern arts, restoring balance and boosting memory with meditation, increasing peace of mind with gentle movements, and activating dormant happiness energies with focused poses.
