Walk into any of BreWingZ Sports Bar and Grill's 19 locations, and you'll be faced with many decisions. First, of course, is the food: the sports bar's crisp, juicy wings come in more than 25 different sauce flavors from classic suicidal hot to orange ginger. The mozzarella cheese sticks are carved from a cheese brick, breaded, and fried to order. And then there are the salads, sandwiches, burgers, and wraps. The family-friendly restaurant even gives kids an extensive selection with six child-friendly dishes, some of which include the same signature items their parents enjoy. But once you've ordered your food, there are a few more dilemmas: Which of the plentiful beers do you choose? Which game on the many massive HD televisions do you watch? Which one is the fork, again? Luckily, the spot's easygoing atmosphere and bounty of entertainment doesn't quite necessitate speedy decision making.

After the venue is rented and the invitations sent, there's still one thing any party needs to succeed: food. Deluxe Occasions realized this early on, pairing their event-planning services with a full bakery and catering outfit that could further ease the mind of brides planning weddings, employees planning holiday fests, and friends planning baby showers. Event packages give celebrants as much or as little help as they need, with options ranging from decorating the venue to taking care of all vendor contracts.
Just like the savory, oval-shaped loaves of bread that inspired its name, El Bolillo Bakery is a culinary staple amongst Houston's Hispanic community. Though it started as a modest corner bakery, El Bolillo is now nothing short of a legend. Its reputation can be traced back to the droves of people who flocked to the original Greater Heights location once word of its fresh pastries, churros, and tres leches cakes got out. Growing demand led the crew to open up a second and third location just to keep up with the crowds. Today, the bakery continues to craft fresh bolillos, tortillas, and empanadas every day. Though these would be highlights at almost any other restaurant, here they take a backseat to El Bolillo’s famous custom cakes. Available in a variety of flavors, these cakes can be made to resemble anything from a favorite cartoon character to a designer purse that looks and tastes just like the real thing.

A destination for a variety of treats, Addictea Cafe couples pastry-lined cases filled with cupcakes, macarons, and cakes with flavorful drinks. As the name suggests, it's primarily a destination for tea—namely, bubble tea. Served either as a cold tea drink or slushie, cups are dressed up with gelatin-based tapioca balls, which lend a sweet, chewy dimension to beverages.
Samba Grille is a South American steak house and churrascaria, featuring an a la carte lunch menu and Rodizio-style dinner service. The midday crowd includes power lunchers, bustling shoppers, and escapees from the Island of Misfit Toys—share with them a quick bite of gazpacho ($8 for a bowl) or the Samba salad with tuna (mesclun, fried artichokes, tomatoes, sweet red onions, and hearts of palm in tamarind dressing, $16). Or opt for a heartier lunch of South American center-cut tenderloin with chimichuri sauce, sweet plantains, and seasonal grilled vegetables ($20). Come dinnertime, the space comes alive with a parade of churrascaria ($40) and the spirits of the mysterious coyotes that built Houston. Although a-la-carte dishes such as cashew-crusted chicken breast ($20) and red snapper with jumbo shrimp and lump crab ($34) are available, Rodizio serving is the true highlight of dinner. Be the master of your meal as you heap your plate with family-style dishes of assorted vegetables and signal servers to bring on the fire-roasted rotisserie meats.
