Select Local Merchants

GAMESPlus makes its number-one goal to create a gaming and electronics store with great selection, competitive pricing, and experienced staff. GAMESPlus offers new and used merchandise and will buy, sell, or trade games, movies, consoles, and accessories, but will not barter for the rights to your idea for a MMORPG based on the life and works of 18th-century English satirist Alexander Pope. Score your favorite gaming system at a reduced price, or browse hard-to-find hardware and software such as Space Invaders and Donkey Kong Country in the GAMESPlus Classic section. Available accessories brands include DREAMGEAR, Yobo, and CTA.

Baby Be Mine's owner Tanisha found a great way to combine her artistic talent with practicality. She takes diapers, the single most important product every new baby needs apart from a Rolex, and rolls them, stacks them, and binds them into cake-like towers. She then decorates these "cakes" with sparkly garnishes, flowers, and colorful baby-care products. "I love making diaper cakes and watching mommies smile," Tanisha says, adding that her favorite customer reaction to her creations is a repeat visit.

Beadoholique helps jewelry makers master their craft with a variety of classes instructed by experienced and talented bead artists. The basic-stringing class gives pupils a full overview on how to start making jewelry, including instruction about the materials, tools, and techniques needed to turn lonely, isolated beads into sparkle-laden creations. Accessory architects will learn how to wire-wrap earrings and pendants and how to end necklaces and bracelets with crimps. Students must come to class accompanied by 24-gauge head pins, ear hooks, a clasp, beads of their choice, and (if desired) a pendant. By the end of class, each student will have a complete necklace or bracelet with which to adorn their neck, wrist, or favorite parking meter.

Crawling through sand dunes, diving into bunkers, charging over wooden bridges—this is what it takes to overthrow Normandy's two-story French house at Survival Game of Texas. This World War II-inspired expanse is one of the facility's many outdoor fields spread across their 47 acres of terrain. On courses designed for beginners, guests duel among wild west-style buildings, navigate a jungle maze, and duck into the huts scattered amid a realistic Vietnamese village. They can also ward off opponents from twin three-story castles featuring spiral staircases, a catwalk, and a napping ogre. Under the watchful eyes of referees, visitors 12 and over duke it out seven days a week, including during Survival Game of Texas's special events, which include seven-hour scenario games.

The seasoned paranormal investigators at the Spirit Quest Center instruct burgeoning ghostbusters in the art of spectral detection on its spine-tingling Spring Ghost Tour. Before embarking into the ectoplasmic world, Spirit Quest preps spirit walkers ages 10 and older with a Ghost Hunting 101 lesson. Students learn investigation techniques such as detecting magnetic-field disturbances, using dowsing rods to communicate directly with specters, and uncovering electric voice phenomena (EVP) in digital recordings that capture the kelpie vibrato of karaoke phantasms. A professional paranormal investigator then leads the tour past some of Old Town Spring's oldest buildings, regaling the fascinating history of the vexed settlement with frequent stops for ghostly apparitions and interaction. During the 2.5- to three-hour tour, phantom pursuers may get the chance to chat with the poltergeists through the medium’s translation, asking questions about ghostly life and what it’s like to hang out with Elvis.

Spread across 5 acres of indoor and outdoor facilities, Pitch Putt & Play summons friendly competition with miniature golf, batting cages, arcade games, and a host of other all-ages attractions. During the summer months, a bumper-boat pond equips pintsize sea captains with their own water-cannoned battleship, and other outdoor attractions, such as the water-balloon launcher, keep visitors cool. Indoors, the concession stand refuels guests with fresh-baked pizzas and snacks, and arcade machines eat their own pizzas in the form of metal tokens.
